Unseen Liminality has more than a few secrets hanging around, and somehow we managed to find all kinds of things before we stumbled into the second subfloor the game has. We expect there are other people in a similar situation, so I put together this guide on how to reach the Fruitiger Aero area in Unseen Liminality, to help everyone along.

How Do You Get To The Fruitiger Aero Area?

The Fruitiger Aero subfloors is accessible through the Pool Rooms. It’s pretty easy to access, if you know the spot. You need to look for a spiral staircase rising out of a shallow pool. It’s just along the tunnel from the second, smaller entrance to the Pool Rooms from The Lobby. One of the potential spawn points from Level Select will drop you right in front of the staircase, so if you’re really stuck, just go back to Level Select and head to the Pool Rooms. (Assuming you’ve already unlocked the Pool Rooms, of course, you do need to have visited it at least once.)

What Is The Fruitiger Aero Area?

The Fruitiger Aero subfloor is a small, non-dangerous area hidden within a floor, in a similar vein to the Dreamcore subfloor. If you explore it, you’ll receive the ‘The Promised Future’ badge. There are no hostile entities active in the subfloor (as of the time of writing) so you’re free to explore as much as you want. The subfloor is made up of a small number of interconnected rooms, though the spiral staircase provided the only entrance and exit. The subfloor also counts as a point of interest. Unlike the main floors, you can’t currently access the Fruitiger Aero area from the Level Select directly, though as mentioned above, a possible Pool Rooms spawn point drops you just opposite the entrance.

FAQ

Here are a few other miscellaneous questions tied to the area, in case you were curious.

• I found some green tinted glass models in the dead mall that look kind of Fruitiger Aero-coded, is that a way in?
  • This kind of stumped us too, but no, it’s a red herring. As far as we can tell, the only way in is through the Pool Rooms.
• Can mimics spawn in the Fruitiger Aero area?
  • We haven’t seen any spawn when we idled around there, but we can’t make any certain verdicts on this. Keep an eye on the Players Online list if it says a friend has joined, just to make sure.
• I need to find out about some of the other areas, can you help with that?
  • We go over most of the game areas in our Unseen Liminality walkthrough, so maybe check that out for more info on the different levels.
• What’s the hardest area to get to?
  • Right now, probably the Liminal Home area, accessed via the pit in The Lobby, though that’s less to do with how hard it is to find, and more that then teleport there glitched out several times when we tried it. Died the first time, fell through the world on the second time. Very Backrooms, but probably not how it’s supposed to work. Did make it on the third attempt and left after hearing the horrid Still Life noises and reaching a dead end.

VV Ultimatum Hollow Progression

The Hollow faction is one of the most popular in VV Ultimatum, so let’s do a deep dive into how to progress.

Hollow Forms in Order

How to progress through each Hollow form.

Base Hollow

When you’re a Base Hollow, you need to defeat and consume other Hollows. After doing this several times, you transform into a Menos.

Menos

To progress through the Menos form, your main tasks are to defeat Hollows and destroy objects. Once you’ve done this a specific number of times [the average number is unknown at this current time], your form is upgraded to an Adjuchas.

Whilst, as a Menos, you can press the L key to change into a Menoscar [Arrancar], I do not recommend it. This reduces your stats and grants only 2 Hollow Traits, rather than Adjuchas, who get 3 Hollow Traits and Vastocars, who get 4.

Adjuchas

Once you become an Adjuchas, you unlock your Cero and the Roar ability. Adjuchas can have 3 Hollow Traits, making them much stronger than Menoscars.

The next step is to transform into a Vasto Lorde. You are required to defeat NPC enemies or other players until you evolve into a Vasto Lore, with the task being to gain 70 Progress. The type of enemy you defeat determines how many Progress Points you get for this quest. Arrancars grant no points, but Shinigami and Quincies provide 10 Points each.

If you wish to evolve, you turn into an Adjucar [Arrancar], but I recommend waiting until you unlock Vasto Lorde.

Vasto Lorde

Vasto Lordes can have 4 Hollow Traits in total. Before you turn into a Vastocar [Arrancar], make sure you’re happy with your current Hollow Traits. This is because you cannot change them once you evolve.

Evolving also resets all of your stats, but you unlock the ability to use your Arrancar Weapon.

Arrancar Progression

No matter which form you decide to evolve when becoming an Arrancar, you are required to reach at least level 25 beforehand. At this level, you can meditate. For a successful meditation, you need a sufficient amount of EXP.

At some point, you’ll unlock your Inner World, but you can’t really do anything here just yet. Once you reach level 30-35, you gain access to the ‘Clearing the Fog’ quest. Completing this quest means you can continue with your Arrancar progression.

Follow the red eyes around your Inner World until you find your spirit, which then leads to your Res fight. There are 3 stages to complete during this battle:

• First Stage
  • Defeat your very first Hollow form
• Second Stage
  • Defeat your Menos form
• Third Stage
  • Defeat your Adjuchas form

Completing this fight rewards you with your Mode.

Hollow Traits

I have a full guide on the VV Ultimatum Hollow Traits, but I’ll go over how they work quickly in this guide. The Hollow Traits you equip provide stat buffs and new passive abilities, but some also grant debuffs.

You randomly get Hollow Traits as you progress, but you can choose to reject certain ones that you don’t want. Hollow Traits start to drop once you unlock your Resurrection.

Hollow Types

The Hollow Type you choose determines your initial passives.

Lizard

Your Speed increases, but in exchange, your DEF decreases.

Centipede

Increases your Speed, but in return, your DMG and DEF stats decrease.

Gorilla

Everything’s evenly average.

Turtle

You’re pretty slow, but your DEF increases.

Hollow Clans

Use Clan Rerolls to roll for a new one. You can get Clan Rerolls by consuming Clan Tokens, obtainable via a variety of methods, such as defeating enemies, redeeming codes, or as quest rewards.

VV Ultimatum Spirit Alloy

An Uncommon rarity material, Spirit Alloy is used in a variety of crafting recipes. Aside from crafting, you also need Spirit Alloy to unlock the Marsh. Not by itself, though, as you have to collect Lizard Blood and Scorpion Venom, too.

How to Get Spirit Alloy

Crafting

Spirit Alloy is a craftable material, but it’s locked behind level 13. Once you reach this level, you need to find the Hakuchi NPC, who is located in Mizuki Sato. This unlocks the required quest, which, once complete, rewards you with the crafting recipe for Spirit Alloys.

The crafting recipe is as follows:

• 2x Soul Essence [Uncommon rarity]
• 1x Dark Essence [Uncommon rarity]

Soul Essence has a chance to drop from all enemies in the game, including mobs and bosses. Some players report finding them in chests, too.

Hollows drop Dark Essence, but you can also get this material by completing various quests. Additionally, it’s a craftable material, but you need to be at least level 9. The recipe for Dark Essence is: 5x Hollow Ports.

Purchasing

The merchant located in the Everwhite Enclave in the Arctic Plains sells Spirit Alloys for 275.

How to Get Dark Spirit Alloy

This is still unknown as of right now, but it’s a required material in the recipe for Build Reset Tokens. Once I know how to get Dark Spirit Alloys, I’ll explain it in this section.

Build Reset Token

Available to craft when you reach level 70. Using this item resets your current build.

• Requires:
  • 2x Dark Spirit Alloy
  • 1x Ashen Pendant
  • 7x King Crocodile Scales
  • 3x Flame Refined Talon
  • 5x Tough Direhide

Invasion Bell

While you can craft the Invasion Bell with 1x Spirit Alloy, it’s also craftable with 2x Dark Essences. Using the Invasion Bell teleports you to an invasion.

• Requires:
  • 1x Spirit Alloy

Frost Alloy

The Frost Alloy is a required material in the crafting recipe for the Sanrei Glove.

• 1x Spirit Alloy
• 2x Frostvein Shards
• 1x Great Soul Essence

Sanrei Glove Quincy artifact requires 2x Strange Essence, 1x Broken Medallion, and 1x Frost Alloy.

Unlocking the Marsh

To unlock the Marsh, you need Spirit Alloy, Lizard Blood, and Scorpion Venom. To get Lizard Blood, defeat any lizard you find in the starting area. As for Scorpion Venom, it drops from Scorpions.

The Marsh is where you can find The Crocodile King and Shamballa bosses. The Crocodile King drops The King’s Crown headpiece and King Crocodile Scales. Shamballa drops two chests upon defeat.

VV ULTIMATUM Hollow Traits Tier List

This Tier is up to date as of June 9th, 2026.

S-TIER

This top tier is host to the most widely applicable Hollow Traits, those with immense versatility, solid synergy, and great strengths. Regardless of how you play, this Tier should have at least one Trait for you.

• Wings
  • +3% Movement SPD, +5% Shunpo Stamina, and +3% Shunpo SPD. This Trait has so much aura, from the huge cosmetic wings to the increased Speed across vital stats.
• Iron Skin
  • +4% Melee DEF and +35% Posture Regen. Good for tanking and reckless builds that aren’t as confident in counters and blocking.
• Innocuous Presence
  • Name and Reiatsu Signature are hidden, Res duration increases by 20s, and +5% Movement Speed. Literally perfect for stealth.
• Dense Muscles
  • +1% Weapon DMG and +1% Hakuda DMG, Res duration also increases by 45s. The ideal Trait for weapon mains to enhance their Res and extend their fury.

A-TIER

Secondary to the top, I really like these Traits. They don’t fit every style, but they’re still exceptional in capable hands. Highly recommend if they fit your style to use them.

• Skinny
  • +7.5% Movement SPD and -1.2% Melee DMG. Powerful Trait for Weapon mains, as the debuff doesn’t transfer. Become quicker with your draws and attacks.
• Deadly Claws
  • +3% Hakuda DMG and +0.1 Max AP. Solid for turning blunt attacks sharp.
• Exoskeleton
  • +2% Melee DEF, +5 Posture, 15% larger healthpack from Res, and -2% Movement SPD. Overall, a huge asset to have, great well-rounded buffs, aside from the docked speed.
• Energized
  • +2% Kido DMG and Weapon DMG scales slightly off Kido Stat. Overall, a huge asset for Weapon mains.

B-TIER

This so-so tier is home to the average and most divisive Hollow Traits. They divide the Arrancar community pretty evenly, being situational, niche, yet equally versatile and balanced. All this to say, they’re pretty average.

• Tentacles
  • 16% Poison Melee chance and -1% Weapon DMG. Solid choice for Melee mains.
• Back Scales
  • Cero charges 12% quicker, Res duration increases by 45s, but Cero DMG is reduced by 5%. The debuff on this almost completely washes out the buffs, but it’s still fine to use.
• Tailbone
  • +20% Cero DMG, but the Cero becomes 25% thinner. This seems to have the opposite problem of Back Scales. Maybe used together, they’d synergise to make your Cero beam overpowered.
• Giant
  • +5% Melee DEF, +2% Kido DEF, -5% SPD. The DEF is great, but it feels necessary to counter the slower movement speed, making you easier to hunt.

C-TIER

Fairly obscure, but solid all around. Those in this rank have some drawbacks that make them harder to recommend and utilise in the heat of conflict.

• Horns
  • Increased Cero Width by 35% and Cero Length by 10%. Great for boosting the range of Cero, no overall damage increase.

D-TIER

It’s a mistake to consider these weak or bad Traits, but they’re definitely more niche, not synergising well with all Hollow builds. If you have a unique playstyle or want an unexpected advantage, then I recommend trying these Hollow Traits.

What are Hollow Traits?

Hollow Traits apply a physical cosmetic change to your character, alongside stat attributes or special abilities related to the individual Trait. These appear alongside your general progression when attaining Res.

How do I activate my Hollow Traits?

Must be an Arrancar with Res unlocked. The number of Traits applicable to you depends on your stage in the game. Fishbones have 2 Trait slots, Adjuchas have 3, and Vasto Lorde have 4.

VV Ultimatum Soul Essence

Soul Essence is an Uncommon rarity consumable in VV Ultimatum. Whilst having a major use in crafting recipes, you can also consume them to gain Soul Tokens.

Regular Soul Essence grants around 25 to 35 Soul Tokens; however, I recommend selling Soul Essence rather than consuming them. This is because selling Soul Essence grants you a guaranteed total of 35 Soul Tokens, meaning you get the maximum amount.

While it’s used in crafting recipes, a major use of Soul Essence is to swap it for Soul Tokens, an important currency in VV Ultimatum. Additionally, you can trade Soul Essence with other players. Joining the game’s official Discord server is the easiest way to find trading requests.

Great Soul Essence

Great Soul Essence is a stronger variant, which, upon consuming, grants around 150 Soul Tokens. But, like the regular Soul Essence, I recommend selling Great Soul Essence because it guarantees 175 Soul Tokens.

Again, Great Soul Essence is a requirement in some crafting recipes.

How to Get Soul Essence

To obtain Soul Essence, you need to defeat enemy mobs and bosses, though they have a rare drop chance. They also have a chance to appear in chests. The main difference between the two is that you can craft Great Soul Essence. To do this, you need 5x Soul Essence.

Great Soul Essence can be dropped by Hollows that reside within the Outskirts. The best quests to work through when it comes to getting Soul Essence and Soul Tokens are the main story quests, as well as daily quests and those for factions.

The Arctic Plains is one of the best areas to farm enemies, as this location features a higher number of mobs altogether. However, the enemies in this location can be tricky at times, so make sure your character is strong enough.

Crafting Recipes With Soul Essence

As mentioned, both types of Soul Essence are included in some crafting recipes. The amount you need depends on the recipe itself. Here are all the crafting recipes I’ve found so far that require Soul Essence and Great Soul Essence:

Great Soul Essence

• Requires:
  • 5x Soul Essence

Prayer Beads

Wipes your character.

• Requires:
  • 1x Great Soul Essence
  • 2x Soul Chains

Spirit Alloy

This item is craftable after reaching level 13. Spirit Alloy is a material required in crafting recipes, but also unlocks the Marsh. You can also get Spirit Alloy from a merchant in Arctic Town.

• Requires:
  • 3x Soul Essence
  • 1x Dark Essence [Uncommon rarity]
    • Craft with 5x Hollow Part
    • Must be level 9+

Frost Alloy

Frost Alloy is a required item for Quincy progression, specifically to craft the Sanrei Glove.

Riddle Answer: Ambition

Reaching The Riddle – Shikai Attainment

The Riddle happens around Level 50 for Shinigami players following the main storyline. In short, it’s one of the few Riddles you’ll face when progressing to unlock your Shikai.

I’ll explain in more detail below, but if you don’t care for yapping, Shikai attainment boils down to EXP from combat and meditation in a rinse-and-repeat loop.

Meditation

At level 25, you’ll finally find success with meditation. Attempting before this will result in your character falling asleep. If you have enough EXP, you’ll trigger a green aura around your body with a chime sound cue, and the screen will dim. The more you meditate, the quicker you progress through these upcoming stages.

Bell Minigame

When inside your innate world, you’ll need to follow the blue orbs to each shrine and interact with it. As a taster for what’s to come, one poses a riddle, asking “what is always in front of you but can’t be seen“, where the answer is the Future.

Teleport into the inner world for the bell minigame: follow the blue circles until you reach the bell, then interact with it. The final bell spawns enemies to defeat before you re-enter the main world.

The Trial

Defeat a boss and teleport back into your innate Bell World to visit more shrines by following the blue orbs.

At this point, you’ll progress quickly through the main story until you unlock your Shikai. A lot of challenges are self-explanatory and require combat EXP, meditation, or both. Once you attain your Shikai, you’ll also receive three free rerolls.

If at any point you feel stuck, keep completing missions until Kuchiki speaks to you. This happens anywhere between level 50 and 70, where you gain new main storyline quests.

What Is Phoodle?

Phoodle is a Wordle-like daily puzzle game that challenges you to guess a specific word every single day. Unlike Wordle, in which the word can be anything in the dictionary, Phoodle focuses on food-focused words. This could be a type of food, a famous chef, or a technique performed while making food. There’s a surprising amount of depth.

How Does It Work?

Well, pretty much like Wordle. Guess a word (remember, it has to be food-based), and any letters that appear in the word in the correct place are marked green. Yellow letters are in the word but in the wrong place, while uncoloured letters don’t appear in the word. You use these clues to help narrow down the correct word.

Got Any Tips and Tricks?

• Vowels: A similar strategy to Wordle works well here. Start by using words with plenty of vowels, as they appear in most words and will give you a good jumping-off point. Try and use all vowels in your first two words.
