Tradewinds Odyssey Review
By David Tovey
Tradewinds Odyssey, the newest quest-based adventure from Sandlot Games, shows the publisher listens closely to its fans. Back to the ocean, with stories based on familiar characters from Greek mythology, Odyssey plays like Tradewinds "lite" compared to 2008's Tradewinds Caravans.Three Cards to Midnight Review
By Erin Bell
Three Cards to Midnight is the debut release from Big Finish Games, a new studio that's stacked with veteran talent, including many of the designers who helped to create the Tex Murphy series of adventure games. Three Cards to Midnight itself is more of an adventure / hidden object hybrid, with a unique way of searching for objects and a thrilling, mature story to go along with it.Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Lucky Junction Review
Hannah Harlow is looking for the next designing superstar to feature on her TV show - this could be your big break! Not only do you have a great eye, but you also have an uncanny knack for turning yard sale trash into eye-catching treasures. You've got to get some designs together to impress Hannah, but a cranky tycoon's plan to shut down local yard sales for good could ruin your dreams in Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Lucky Junction.Mystic Emporium Review
Halloween may be a few months away but that won't stop every ghost and goblin from creeping over to check out all the enchanted goodies at the Mystic Emporium. Join Lilly as she sells her bubbling potions and mystical bobbles to everything from wizards to ogres in this fun and challenging time management game. So grab your cauldron and bring your bottle of newt eyes because it's potion making time!Magic Ball 4 Review
Fans of "brick breaking" arcade games popularized in the '80s - such as Arkanoid and Breakout - might get a nostalgic kick out of Alawar's new downloadable digital diversion. Magic Ball 4 is the latest in the publisher's two million unit-selling series - and while it's not too different than its predecessors, it proves to be a fun take on the classic formula.First, the story. Oh yes, there is, um, a story with this ball-breaking game. As luck would have it, aliens have entered our dimension and kidnapped thousands of humans. Your job is to return them all to our world by touching them with the Magic Ball of Relativity. If your aim is good, you can advance through the various levels and bring everyone (and everything) back home.Raycatcher Review
By David Stone
Music games are slowly starting to infiltrate the casual game space. Some, like Music Catch, find an audience and grow into cult hits. But others, like Raycatcher, don't seem destined to make the same kind of impact.Dragon Portals Review
By Chad Sapieha
Rather than popping marbles, twisting hexagons, or swapping gems, Dragon Portals, a new match-three game from veteran casual game studio MythPeople, has players dropping colored orbs from the back of one flying dragon to another in an effort to match up three or more similarly-hued spheres. Apart from this one twist, and better-than-average art direction, it's a fairly run-of-the-mill puzzler.Sunset Studio – Love on the High Seas Review
Sunset Studio: Love on the High Seas is kind of like a great burger joint that also serves delicious fries and milkshakes. The main entree is more than enough reason for you to visit, but the extras are so unusually good that they make the overall experience into a one of a kind. You begin Love on the High Seas by showing up for your first day as the assistant to the tempestuous actress Kat, who's currently filming a blockbuster called Titanship. The director calls the production a "calamity," and everywhere you turn, something seems to be going wrong. Hopefully, with a little hard work and a keen eye, you'll be able to get this ship back on course.
