Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light Review
One of my favorite trends in the casual gaming space is the fusion between hidden-object games ("HOGs") and adventure game-like puzzles, like Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst and Dream Chronicles: The Chosen Child. Last fall we also saw the debut of Alawar's first HOG, Magic Encyclopedia: First Story, an atmospheric hand-drawn puzzler that successfully merged these two game styles together -- despite some nagging technical bugs that marred its initial release.Youda Sushi Chef Review
If you want a sushi game that really teaches you about sushi, you're about to get your wish. Youda Sushi Chef is a deliciously frantic time management game that has you rolling up maki and serving nigiri to an endless barrage of hungry customers. Aside from the rapid pace, it's full of quirky originality, and definitely not your typical restaurant dash. As a budding sushi chef, you've invested all of your savings into your new sushi business, and you have just one week to make it work. How's that for pressure? As both the new owner and chef, you certainly have your hands full.Artist Colony Review
If you're like me, you glanced at I-play's new casual game Artist Colony and immediately wrote it off as a copycat of Virtual Villagers or The Sims. I mean, it features little virtual characters who interact with each other, fall in love, advance in their career and clean up messes they make. But oh, how I was wrong. After spending nearly a week with Artist Colony, the similarities to Virtual Villagers are merely cosmetic. This engrossing single-player game stands on its own merit and proves to be highly enjoying and gratifying twist on the simulation genre.World Mosaics 2 Review
By David Stone
The original World Mosaics title was a decent "picross" title, brimming with loads of puzzles and a mildly interesting story that wove the main game together. Its sequel, World Mosaics 2, returns with the plethora of puzzles of its predecessor, improves on some aspects of the first title, but strangely addresses none of the issues. The story picks up after the first World Mosaics. As soon as you discover the secret to the Pelasgian civilization - and the secret to the city of Atlantis - you encounter a strange hourglass artifact which has suddenly thrown you back in time to the age of the dinosaurs, shattering in the process.Aquapolis Review
If there's any game that will have you hearing "Under the Sea" in your head, it's Aquapolis. The charming time management building game takes Build-a-Lot to the real estate world under the sea. Though a pearl of a game, Aquapolis has a few stingers that dampen the underwater adventures. The story is slim pickin's, but this type of building game doesn't need a story. Aquapolis throws you in a shipwreck. No, really, Shipwreck is the name of the first city you'll see. The game kicks off with your coming highly recommended as you start working in Steward Don Garro. Mr. Garro shows you the ropes throughout the three levels in the Shipyard.Reel Quest Review
By Jim Squires
Summer has finally gotten into full swing, and for a lot of folks there's only one thing on their mind: fishing. But not everyone is a member of the rod and reel set. For those of us more comfortable with a PDA that a worm on a hook, Big Fish Games is offering up a title to bring out the inner angler in all of us, Reel Quest.Martian Memorandum Review
It's time once again to step into the gumshoes of private investigator Tex Murphy. In the grim, radiation soaked future of Martian Memorandum, he's been hired to find the missing daughter of the obscenely rich head of Terraform, Marshall Alexander. It looks like a simple kidnapping, but as Tex soon learns, nothing is as it seems.G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire Review
In G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire, you've been asked to investigate the supposed haunting of a local theme park. Don't worry - you won't have to dress up in olde tyme costumes, get your face painted, or drink ale from a leather mug to get to the bottom of this mystery, you'll just have to find a lot of hidden objects and solve a few puzzles.
