Farmers Market Review
By Joel Brodie
It is kind of surprising that no time management game has really tried to capture the theme of farming markets, considering all the farming games that have been released over the last couple of years. Farmers Market by Fugazo aspires to do just that, requiring the player to organize various markets with stands of different vendors and farmers. With its charming graphics, a rather unique gaming experience, and a decent length, Farmers Market is without a doubt one of the best releases of this year in its genre.Heroes of Kalevala Review
By Mike Rose
Wouldn't it be great if building a village from scratch was as simple as playing a fun match-3 game with heroes from Finnish mythology involved? Heroes of Kalevala throws such a scenario your way, mixing match-3 puzzling with a building sim, and bringing some light RPG elements along for the ride too.Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale Review
By Andrew Groen
Have you ever wondered where all of the item shop owners in role-playing games get all of their stock? Yeah, me neither, but somebody sure did because EasyGameStation's difficult to pronounce (and even more difficult to classify) Recettear is based on just that premise. A bizarre mix of dungeon battling action and bartering with customers in-store, Recettear defies classification.Zombie Pirates Review
By Mike Rose
You may have noticed a fair number of zombie games being released over the past year - the undead are clearly the in-thing at the moment. Not only does Zombie Pirates feature brain-munchers, but it also takes inspiration from another recently zombie game, namely PopCap's wildly popular Plants vs Zombies.Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds Review
By Jon Mundy
If Tasty Planet really is "back for seconds" it must be starving. After all, the first course of 2D eat 'em up action was served up almost four years ago. Sure enough, the sentient grey blob is back and hungrier than ever.Trinklit Supreme Review
By Erin Bell
At first, Trinklit's premise of fitting pairs of shapes together to make squares probably sounds as challenging and fun as putting together a two-piece jigsaw puzzle. But in the hands of veteran game designer Funkitron, the concept comes alive. Should we be surprised? These are, after all, the same folks who gave us that slots-meets-bingo classic Slingo. Bottom line: if you're into Slingo then you'll probably love Trinklit as well.Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe’s The Black Cat Review
Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat has a long name but a simple plot: You and your partner, Inspector Dupin, are called to the home of one Mark Davies to investigate the disappearance of his wife, Sara. Oddly, people claim to have recently seen Sara on the estate's grounds, usually in the company of a mysterious black cat - a cat that seems more than a little otherwordly. No matter if this is a simple missing persons case, a huge misunderstanding, or something more sinister, you and Dupin shall discover the truth!Youda Survivor Review
As a game all about washing up on a tropical island and being forced to keep yourself alive, you probably wouldn't expect Youda Survivor to play so much like Farm Frenzy. But that's exactly what it does. For fans of the FF series though, this is good news, as Youda Survivor features the tweaks, upgrades, and changes that have been missing from sequels like Farm Frenzy: Gone Fishing.
