Fractal Review
By Mike Rose
Cipher Prime's melody-driven Auditorium was one of the most understated indie gems of 2009, beautifully combining puzzle elements with sweeping, layered piano and string tracks. Fractal is very much in the same vein, although the music takes a back seat this time around. With clever game mechanics and plenty of different modes to play through, Cipher Prime's latest is definitely worth experiencing.House M.D. Review
Not satisfied with just having a successful television series, Dr. Gregory House has decided to enter the world of video games. House M.D. attempts to recreate the combination of drama and humor that has made its TV counterpart such a success, only in the form of an adventure game. The title manages to capture some of that charm, but thanks in large part to some frustrating mini-games, it ends up being a bit of a tough pill to swallow that will likely only appeal to fans.Rune Twister Review
By Mike Rose
If you're looking for an interesting twist on your regular match-3 experience, Bionic Nose is here to provide a literal one. Rune Twister allows the player to not only rotate the Tetris-style pieces, but also spin the entire board.Demolition Company Review
By Mike Rose
When a game offers me the chance to destroy buildings, walls and other structures with a selection of demolition machines and tools, how can I refuse? Set over 30 missions, Demolition Company does just that, providing bulldozers, wrecking balls and jackhammers as your tools of destruction.Farm Frenzy: Gone Fishing Review
When Farm Frenzy 3: Madagascar came out in July, I couldn't help but feel that the developers had run out of ideas. After all, here was the fourth FF3 spin-off to come out in just one year, and it did nothing new or interesting. So imagine my excitement when I started Farm Frenzy: Gone Fishing: a new, aquatic themed game that wasn't saddled with the three moniker. Finally, something new! But alas, Gone Fishing is yet again more of the same, just with a new look.Royal Trouble Review
Conventional wisdom may say that opposites attract, but in Royal Trouble the reverse is true. A casual point-and-click adventure from Orchid Games, Royal Trouble stars a prince and princess who inexplicably find themselves prisoners in a castle. And only by working together do they have any hope of escape. The game is short and relatively easy, but manages to still be enjoyable thanks to some great puzzle design, solid writing, and a very charming pair of lead characters.Nightmare Adventures: The Witch’s Prison Review
Here's a tip for anyone researching their family tree: If the trail leads you to an abandoned asylum, you may want to settle for being a bit vague about great grandpa's origins. Otherwise, you might end up on the wrong end of an angry spirit, like Kiera Vale in Nightmare Adventures: The Witch's Prison.Dawn’s Light 2 Review
By Chad Sapieha
Casual RPG-maker John Wizard has only been around for about a year, but it has already released a quartet of games. What's more, in Dawn's Light 2 the fledgling studio is confident enough to assume that players are at least familiar with its predecessor (expect plenty of references to characters, places, and events from the original game). However, while returning players may get a few more jokes, there are enough new gags and personalities that the game can still be enjoyed without having experienced its forebear. That's good news, since Dawn's Light 2 may well be John Wizard's best effort yet.
