Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills Review
By David Becker
Flo and Grandma return for another food-serving challenge in Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills. This time you will get a glimpse into their past, as a teenaged Flo helps Mr. Big with the rundown restaurants at his theme park. With just the right amount of new material, this sequel proves to be one of the top time management releases this year thanks to amazing production values, a polished presentation, and last but not least, exquisite gameplay and pace.Lost Horizon Review
One of the defining characteristics of point-and-click adventure games is their ability to tell a great story, and Deep Silver's latest game Lost Horizon is no exception. It's a sweeping, Indiana Jones-style epic spanning multiple countries and featuring everything from Nazis to mythical cities. Unfortunately, while the story is engaging and the game is absolutely gorgeous, the developers failed to balance out the story-telling with the actual gameplay. The result is a game that you watch as much as you play.Women’s Murder Club: Little Black Lies Review
The Women's Murder Club, author James Patterson's gang of crime-solving ladies, is back for a fourth gaming installment with Little Black Lies, a hidden object/adventure hybrid set Cypress View, a town with more than its share of dark secrets. A young girl was murdered there back in 1975, and when a true crime writer reopens the investigation, she winds up dead, too. Someone clearly wants the truth to stay buried.Knightfall: Death and Taxes Review
By Mike Rose
It's always so refreshing to find a unique match-3 puzzler that tries something a little different, and Knightfall: Death and Taxes definitely does this. Created by UK indie developer Megadev, Namco clearly saw the potential too, and snapped this great little game up.Paradise Beach 2: Around the World Review
By David Becker
Nothing is more annoying than spending a holiday in which nothing turns out to be as you expected. In Paradise Beach 2 (the follow-up to Paradise Beach) your goal is to create the perfect beach resort for others by proving your knack for micro-management and eye for beauty. A lot of improvements over its predecessor make this game an entertaining experience, in spite of the fact that a few minor flaws still haven't been resolved.Goddess Chronicles Review
If you ever wondered just how the might gods of Olympus managed to make their way to the top, Gamers Digital's latest game has the answer: finding lots and lots of objects. Goddess Chronicles puts you in the role of a budding goddess who has to take on a series of trials before she can become a full fledged immortal. Unfortunately, as exciting as that may sound, the game is actually a fairly average hidden object game that has a great visual style and some woefully underused special features.Bloons 2 Review
Like all great puzzle games, the original Bloons managed to hook players in with a seemingly simple premise, before quickly ramping up the complexity. All you had to do was pop balloons with a dart, but with a wide range of puzzles, power-ups, and obstacles, this was easier said than done. Bloons 2 doesn't offer any drastic changes to the formula, but instead adds more features and a much improved presentation to create a better overall experience.Twisted Lands: Shadow Town Review
By Andy Chalk
Zombies, snakes and murder, oh my! All of this and more awaits in Twisted Lands: Shadow Town, a new hidden object thriller in which the name of the game isn't to solve the mystery and save the world, but just to find your woman and get the heck out of Dodge. A strong start had my hopes high but in the end, a few too many missteps keep this adventure from being a truly memorable experience.
