Hidden Land Review
If you've ever sat down with a free-to-play hidden object game before, then you probably have some idea of what you'll be in for with Game Insight's latest addition to the genre, Hidden Land. Set in a dual timeline between the present and past versions of an ancient society, you'll blitz through exciting hidden object scenes, tackle night levels and scrambled words lists, and recapture the spirit of a long-forgotten cultural history.
Yet Another Zombie Defense Review
Yet Another Zombie Defense, an iOS version of a three-year-old Xbox 360 game, promises a mix of dual-stick shooter action with tower defense strategy in a one-man war against the ravenous undead. It doesn't quite live up to that billing, however, and while it does what it does pretty well, what it doesn't do is enough to keep it from making a serious claim to the kingship.
Partia Review
With Fire Emblem: Awakening taking the handheld console world by storm, those of us with iDevices are left wondering: where's our Fire Emblem? Despite the presence of quality tactical RPGs like Ravenmark and Battle for Wesnoth, no iOS game has fully captured the epic feel of that classic Nintendo series. Partia: The Broken Lineage comes the closest, creating both an admirable homage to Fire Emblem, and a fulfilling experience all its own.

Nor is it based on deep, challenging gameplay. The main focus of The Sparkle 2: Evo is swimming around, eating colorful shapes, and occasionally chasing your tail. Even if that's not your ideal way to spend a Friday night, there's certainly a bit of magic to it.
Survivor Z Review
Since I've never shot a gun and have a tendency to be way too trusting, I probably wouldn't last long in a zombie apocalypse. Survivor Z by Mongadillo Studios and 3 Jacks Software is driving that point home even more since its text-based RPG adventuring and turn-based combat incorporates real world locations. Yes, the struggle against the undead is now personal on your iPhone, but that doesn't mean it's any easier.
Wanderer: War Song Review
Wanderer: War Song is a take on the basic premise of Infinity Blade, but one which sadly strives to replicate the game's visual fidelity over what made it truly great -- its controls. Set in beautiful 3D worlds, the game has you duke it out with giant mythical creatures in large arenas where you are allowed to move freely and maneuver around foes. Like Infinity Blade, attacks are issued by swiping at the touch screen, with your on-screen character replicating the angle you input. In Infinity Blade, the angling of hits actually offered a strategic advantage, but here, all attacks register damage the same, regardless of their positioning.
Cthulhu Uber Alles Review
Cthulhu Uber Alles is horrific, alright, but probably not in the way the developers intended. Billed as a "casual adventure," it's really more of a Choose Your Own Adventure book, written by the Lovecraft nerd who sat beside you in grade eight English, with a bunch of pages missing. It's actually a pretty good idea, but it's sure not a good game.
Epic Mech Wars Review
Most people like gladiatorial combat. It's been a significant part of human society for centuries. Roman gladiators, arm wrestling, boxers, "professional" wrestlers, MMA fighters, about 50% of Jean Claude Van Damme movies, there's just something about it that pleases a great deal of folks. Naturally the next step is to use robots to cut back on medical expenses, however this particular robot brawler has a very significant drawback.
