AVP: Evolution Review
By Dant Rambo
Short of radio dramas, Aliens and Predators have waged war in pretty much every medium imaginable. The battle began in a series of comics—a few of which had the chutzpah to throw Superman, Batman, and The Terminator into the mix—but books and games were quick to follow (the films came much later). While all of these things are worthy of discussion, we actually only review games at this site. Bummer, right? The good news is that Alien vs. Predator: Evolution is a game, and I'm primed and ready to talk your ear off about it.Real Racing 3 Review
By Jim Squires
Firemint's Real Racing franchise has long set standards for iOS gaming. And not just racing games, either. The team at Firemint (now FireMonkeys) have consistently set the bar ridiculously high for graphics, accessibility, and iOS-first design strategies. This probably had a lot to do with why EA bought them back in 2011.Silent Scream II: The Bride Review
By Brandy Shaul
A bride's wedding day should be the happiest day of her life, but when newlyweds Jessica and Jonathan McNealy get into a car crash and land in the middle of a creepy forest, all of that happiness goes right out the window. Jessica's left alone in the car, guided by a ghostly woman in white that pulls Jessica deeper into the woods and towards the McNealy mansion. With Jessica's husband nowhere in sight, it will be up to you to help Jessica heal her wounds and track down her missing husband, with plenty of twists and suspense along the way.Buddy Blitz Review
By John Anthony
Matching puzzle games have been around for a very long time. From Bejeweled to Puzzle Quest 2, it seems like every permutation has been created, remixed, and re-released several times over. That's not necessarily a bad thing, of course, and Buddy Blitz banks on that fact with some lovely artwork and a streamlined matching game complete with cute animal friends! The Keepers: The Order’s Last Secret Review
By John Anthony
In the early 1900s, architect Pedro Alvarez was excavating beneath the famous La Torre del Oro, a centuries old watchtower in Seville, Spain. He uncovered a mysterious artifact beneath the building and soon realized the box brought with it a great evil. To make matters worse, an ancient prophecy about the world ending during a solar eclipse was scheduled for the very next day. What an unlucky coincidence!Toy Story: Smash It! Review
By Nadia Oxford
When evil threatens the innocent, Buzz Lightyear is bound by honor and Star Command to quell the danger. Bonus points if he destroys as much property as possible while restoring the peace. Toy Story: Smash It is a 3D physics game in the style of Boom Blox that has lots of the things kids love best: The cast of the Toy Story movie, great visuals, and an excuse to fling stuff at block towers.Raft Pirates Review
By Nadia Oxford
Life on the high seas is dangerous, especially if you're a robot pirate. Even if the law doesn't string you up, a little bit of sea-spray will corrode you as surely as acid. What's a robot sea-dog to do? Why, live life to the fullest, of course! That means taking down your enemies, picking over the skeletal remains of their ships, and then using that scrap to make your own ship the biggest, ugliest, floating fortress that ever sailed across Neptune's front lawn.Pota-Toss World Tour Review
The success of Angry Birds means that there will inevitably be copycats, and the fact of the matter is there have been plenty to grace the App Store already. In the case of Pota-Toss World Tour, it's the latest in a long line of spinoffs with just enough differences to make it feel unique yet still derivative. Despite its predecessor's focus on GPS-based levels and intriguing locales, the follow-up feels stunted and more than a little lazy. Perhaps the potatoes featured in Pota-Toss World Tour are actually couch potatoes rather than the adventurous spuds seen in action in the original game.
