Kabam has announced today that the colossal publisher of free-to-play games has been selected to be the exclusive distributor for a mobile version of the popular fantasy web game Wartune. This news is in accordance with Kabam's recent $50 million development fund this past spring, which is aimed at bringing popular Asian-developed games to other parts of the world. 7th Road, the Chinese studio responsible for the web-based development of Wartune, will be heading up the mobile version of the game as well, in conjunction with developer Hoolai Games who are also said to be handling the licensing duties.
The Room is a great game. It's a highly polished, super-challenging puzzler; the kind that will have you pulling your hair out in clumps. But since huge bald spots aren't terribly flattering, we've decided to do a public service: we've updated our walkthrough for The Room with everything you need to know to solve the game's first (and only) update, The Room: Epilogue.
You work hard. You work hard all year. And once every September, America celebrates this fact by giving you a much deserved Monday off. Well my friends, we've successfully made it through the end of the summer, and Labor Day Weekend is almost upon us! I'm sure that most of you are right in the middle of planning all sorts of fun and exciting outdoor activities that you'll want to do on your well-deserved Monday off before it's time to go back to work or start another year of school, like going to the beach or having a barbeque. This week's Kickstarter quintet gets two tentacles up for quirkiness. We've become enamored with an octopus city simulator; a zombie survival game with an abundance of "cool it" dialogue choices; and a crime-solving, fedora-wearing feline. To round things out, our final two games exist entirely in the imagination, but on completely different ends of the horror-to-cute spectrum.
A new challenger approaches! That's right, The Game Bakers have teamed up with Capcom this week to bring Joe, the titular hero of Capcom's colorful Viewtiful Joe series, to their mobile beat-em-up game Combo Crew. Joe made his first gaming debut in 2003's Viewtiful Joe, and the highly stylized influx of action that Joe and his games were known for should feel right at home in the blistering brawler world of Combo Crew.
Every time I find out that it's time to start getting the next Games of the Month article ready to go here at Gamezebo, I'm always hit with that same immediate thought: "August is over already?!" But by now, I've stopped following up on that question by asking myself where exactly all of the time went over the last month, because I know full well that I spent most of it playing some seriously awesome new video games!
Remember at the beginning of the summer when we told you that Rovio was working on a brand new game called Angry Birds Go!? Well the Angry Birds developer is still keeping pretty tight-lipped on most of the details about this one, although they did reveal one important piece of new information today: Angry Birds Go will be a kart racing game!
