Gotham City Impostors goes free to play
The free-to-play clubhouse has existed for years now, but its membership list was once pretty brief. It's grown a lot since then, with well-known games like Star Wars: The Old Republic and World of Warcraft joining the fray. It looks like Monolith Productions' Gotham City Impostors is the next entrant in the club, and sources indicate that it will, in fact, be bringing homemade brownies to share with the other members. We hear they contain almonds -- an ingredient MapleStory is deathly allergic to -- and we're doing our best to confirm whether or not this is true. If it is, it could mean turmoil is on the horizon.

Achievement Unlocked: Microsoft reveals wave one of XBLA games for Windows 8
During E3, Editor-in-Chief Jim Squires stuck it to Microsoft for neglecting Windows 8 as a gaming destination. Well it seems the company was listening (that's our story and we're sticking to it). Just prior to writing, company spokesperson Major Nelson took to his blog to announce 40 titles headed to "any Windows 8 PC, laptop, or tablet" beginning October 26th. Microsoft fans? I'd like to take this opportunity to formally announce that Gamezebo is switching focus and becoming a film-centric website. Okay, that's a lie, but if there was any movie that might get me to consider it, it would be Kooky. Released on iTunes yesterday by Amanita Design, the feature-length puppet film tells the story of a lost stuff bear's quest to survive in a fantastical woodland wilderness. And it's absolutely oozing with heart.

For reasons I don't fully comprehend, I have a serious affinity for old school Game Boy graphics. Nostalgia certainly plays a part, but it runs a little deeper than that. Perhaps it's the simplicity; the overall purity of the style. Whatever the reason may be, it's left me feeling all sorts of smitten with Two Brothers, a game that embraces the classic monochromatic look without being pandering or gimmicky about it.
Atari brings host of arcade classics to browsers
Microsoft and Atari have teamed up to launch "Atari Arcade," a browser-based portal featuring reworked versions of classic arcade games. The service is currently offering Asteroids, Pong, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, Combat, Centipede, Yars Revenge, and Super Breakout, although it sounds like more titles are on the way soon.
