Relationships are difficult at the best of times. Poor Albert - he really didn't need the added difficulty of a magical rat king that thinks he's human kidnapping his girlfriend and turning him into a nutcracker. If he can't rescue her in time, this just really isn't going to make for a very happy Christmas.
Yard Sale: Hidden Treasures is a new take on Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Sunnyville, designed for casual play on Facebook as well as Zynga's own website. The game takes the hidden object concept to extreme levels, dropping you in neighborhoods filled with people who want to sell their junk and giving you a nice empty yard to fill with the "treasures" you gather!
Big Fish Games had an unexpected hit with Fairway Solitaire, a golf-themed take on a well-known card game. Fairway's attraction went well beyond golf enthusiasts, keeping gamers of both genders (including yours truly) playing until the wee hours. It's natural other developers would try and emulate that kind of success, and 8 Floor Games tries by blending solitaire and bowling. It's an idea that really should work; unfortunately, due to a lack of charm, style and depth, it doesn't quite.
If you were to wake up in a bar with a strange marking on your arm and little recollection of what happened the night before, what series of events would follow? A long talk with your loved ones regarding your priorities in life? A pledge to never drink again? An appointment at the clinic for laser tattoo removal?
In The Beast of Lycan Isle, you play as a young woman named Luna, who finds herself caught in a desperate race against the waxing moon. You'll need to rescue your friend from a harrowing plot of werewolves, powerful amulets, and an eerie old lady who hangs from the ceiling in a rusty contraption. From its dark story, to its puzzle-infused hidden object gameplay, this one will make you howl at the moon in excitement!
Video games often get a bad rap in the mainstream press, with outlets like Fox News and the Daily Mail calling them things like "murder simulators" and complaining that they cause aggressive behavior and violence. But even video games' harshest critics would struggle to find anything objectionable about Save The Day, a cute, simple-but-addictive browser-based game from Denki.
When there are historical inaccuracies and frame rate issues in the opening cutscene of a video game, you know you're in trouble, and with Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power, we get both. By most accounts, Alexander the Great was a dark-haired man with two different colors of eyes, but here, we're immediately introduced to a blonde man with light eyes that looks nothing like most representations of the worldly conqueror. Unfortunately, the game's lack of attention to detail only gets worse from there.
Zeno Clash taught us a few years ago that punching animal-human hybrids in the face is a lot of fun. Beast Boxing Turbo now takes the concept into the ring, Punch-Out style, as a human looks to become boxing champion of the beasts.
