Nancy Drew: The Secret of Shadow Ranch Review
By David Stone
Nancy Drew is a very skilled worker. Whenever she goes undercover, she learns how to do many things, like cooking, dermatology, entymology... the list goes on. It's all part of getting to know the people around her, and to blend in. In Nancy Drew: The Secret of Shadow Ranch, Nancy will have a lot of jobs to do, but unlike some other games in the series, it doesn't feel forced.Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove Review
By Erin Bell
A master detective's work is never done, it seems. Even when you're between cases, having just wrapped up the mystery of Ravenhearst Manor, another adventure falls unexpectedly into your lap in Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, the sixth downloadable game in the Mystery Case Files series. While not as ground-breaking as some of its MCF predecessors, Dire Grove further cements Mystery Case Files as one of the premier hidden object adventure game series' in town.Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals Review
It's always great when a game tries something new. And while Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals is a fairly straightforward point-and-click adventure, it attempts to set itself apart from the pack through its setting and story. Based on the graphic novel series of the same name, Nikopol takes place in the not-too-distant future, and combines elements of sci-fi and fantasy to create something unique. Unfortunately, in this case unique doesn't necessarily mean good, as Nikopol is definitely an uneven experience.Elementals: The Magic Key Review
By Chad Sapieha
Many kids might crave the latest and greatest living room consoles and games, but Elementals: The Magic Key, a new hidden object game featuring heavy dashes of strategy and puzzle solving, proves that you need not spend a small fortune to find fun and engaging interactive entertainment for your children. The Treasures of Montezuma 2 Review
By David Stone
Sequels are difficult things to gauge sometimes. This is doubly true when the first game was a real winner. The Treasures of Montezuma 2 is of course the follow-up to last year's Treasures of Montezuma, but in spite of the 18 months between titles it doesn't look like a lot of new material was brought to the table.Luxor Adventures Review
What do you get when you cross the wildly popular hidden object game (HOG) genre with one of the most beloved ball-busting franchises in casual gaming history? The answer is Luxor Adventures, the latest from Mumbo Jumbo that does a great job fusing the two types of play together, as well as folding in a good story, a myriad of mini-games and high production values.Treasures of the Serengeti Review
It's hard to imagine the dry, grassy plains of the Serengeti would be a particularly hospitable location to settle, and it's certainly not the kind of place where you'd expect to encounter a land rich with colorful gems ripe for the plucking. Treasures of the Serengeti may take more than a few liberties with its premise, but the tribal setting provides a nice backdrop for an unusual blend of traditional jigsaw puzzle and fast-paced gem matching gameplay.Magnetis Review
By David Stone
Attraction is the name of the game in new studio Yullaby's new magnet-themed puzzle game Magnetis. While the game has a great funky aesthetic and gameplay concept, a few glaring issues keep the game from pulling you all the way in. The basic gameplay is very simple, and admittedly a great idea. Two tiles fall from a central shaft above a conveyor belt that you control with the arrow keys on your keyboard. The tiles can be a left- or right-facing magnet, or gray box. The goal is to make chains between two magnets that are facing each other. The more gray boxes you can put in between those magnets, the longer the chain.
