The Dark Hills of Cherai Review
There are so many hidden object games now that it's difficult for one to surprise or even impress you, but that's exactly what The Dark Hills of Cherai will do. It hits the expected HOG notes beautifully, but adds in brand new melodies that are wonderfully unusual and unexpected.Jewel Quest 4: Heritage Review
By Erin Bell
In the aptly titled Jewel Quest: Heritage, Rupert's arch-rival Sebastian Grenard has stolen the Golden Jewel Board, claiming it as a family heirloom. In order to prove that the board is rightfully his, Rupert must trace the origins of the Jewel Board all the way back to the Aztec Empire while investigating his own family tree to see how the history of the jewel board is intertwined with the lives of his own ancestors. The fourth game in the gem-swapping match-3 series features the same core gameplay as its predecessors. The goal is to match three or more jewels to clear them from the board and turn the tiles below to gold. the board is complete when all the tiles are turned to gold before the allotted time limit runs out.Wildhollow Review
By Alicia Ashby
Wildhollow is a point-and-click adventure game that'll also scratch your virtual pet itch. The fantasy setting frames a storyline that mercilessly (and hilariously) satirizes role-playing game (RPG) conventions, poking fun at wise wizards, savage dragons, and the inevitable guy who stands around in the middle of town all day. If you want to finish this adventure, though, you'll need enough patience to master its surprisingly deep pet breeding system.Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie Review
If you're looking for a frantic farming game, you can look no further than the Farm Frenzy series. These games have a good reputation for their fast-paced time management game play, and Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie is no exception. While Farm Frenzy 3 starts off in Africa and takes you around the globe to more exotic farming locations, Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie stays right in the USA and has you farming with robots. With the interest rate on the mortgage constantly increasing, the farm back home is in trouble. The story is sketchy and light on details, and serves mostly as a framework for the new elements introduced into the game.Collapse! Review
By Erin Bell
When it comes to classic puzzle games, GameHouse's venerable Collapse series is right up there with the likes of Bejeweled and Zuma. The latest sequel, called simply COLLAPSE!, is a follow-up to Super Collapse 3 that refreshes the franchise with a visual facelift, new types of boards and other goodies.Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 5 – Rise of the Pirate God Review
After four chapters, the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. The fifth and final chapter in the Tales of Monkey Island series wraps up the epic story arc that's been building over the past few months, but not necessarily in the most satisfying manner. It's not that this installment is sub par, but after all of the build-up leading up to this finale, the actual ending is a touch disappointing. The Otherside: Realm of Eons Review
By Alicia Ashby
The Otherside: Realm of Eons is one of the most ambitious storytelling attempts you'll ever see in a hidden object game. While the gameplay will feel familiar (perhaps even well-worn) to fans of hidden object games, The Otherside presents players with increasingly dreamlike and bizarre locales. Finding hidden objects or solving other puzzles moves you ever deeper into memorably eerie locations populated by creatures too bizarre to be cute.REO Speedwagon: Find Your Own Way Home Review
Let's be honest about something: Most "advergames" are pretty terrible, because they're more concerned with shilling their product than they are with entertaining the player. Find Your Own Way Home, therefore, is a wonderful surprise. It may be an advertisement for the new REO Speedwagon album of the same name, but it's also a surprisingly well-done and fun game in its own right.
