Fishdom: Seasons Under the Sea Review
By Mike Rose
Since the first Fishdom game was released just over two years ago, the series hasn't exactly changed all that much. The general premise has stayed the same - play match-3 puzzles to unlock items for your fish tank - but the games are so superbly executed that there is little room for complaint from us.JamParty Review
By David Stone
Take a great rhythm-action game like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Then, take away almost all the fun and challenge of actual gameplay. What's left is more of an exploratory "experience," which basically sums up the entirety of JamParty.Venus: The Case of the Grand Slam Queen Review
Hidden object game Venus: The Case of the Grand Slam Queen has some inventive ideas, a decent little mystery, and a good sport of a lead character in tennis superstar Venus Williams. What it lacks is polish and technical acumen. Its heart is clearly in the right place, but it's woefully amateurish compared to other HOGs you can play.Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Review
By Jim Squires
Growing up in the early 90's, I have my fair share of Sonic the Hedgehog memories to look back on. I remember buying my first SEGA Genesis - a version that came bundled with everybody's favourite blue hedgehog. I remember lining up to buy Sonic 2 at the local department store on "Sonic 2sday." I even remember spending countless hours playing Sonic Spinball with my friends. Now, thanks to SEGA, I have a new memory to add to that list.Coffee Rush 2 Review
By David Becker
In Coffee Rush 2, the follow-up to 2008's Coffee Rush, you'll once again have save a small town from the pollution of the evil Smokestack Company. By matching ingredients and serving customers delicious coffee, it's your goal to replace one factory after another with charming coffee shops. Apparently no one learned their lesson from the first game and continue to buy coffee from an obviously high-polluting company - but that's another discussion.Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine Review
For a world famous doctor with an army of gigantic evil robots, Dr. Robotnik sure is cranky. That's why in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, the villain best known as Sonic the Hedgehog's arch-nemesis decides to kidnap a whole bunch of beans to turn them into evil little robots. Or something like that. Really, the goofy story is just an excuse for some addictive puzzle action. But while the main puzzle mechanic is fun, the difficulty level gets incredibly high very early on and the game also suffers from a frustratingly archaic password save system.Cut The Rope Review
By Keith Andrew
Who knew flinging birds at a pack of pigs would be so much fun? Or that jumping up a series of never-ending platforms with no real rhyme or reason would keep you entertained for hours? In its short life, iPhone has been home to scores of such titles, simple actions transformed into so called killer-apps with notable frequency. Five minutes into Cut the Rope, and it's clear the format has another such hit on its hands.Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star Review
By Erin Bell
If it's pure match-3 gameplay you're after - no hidden object interludes or mini-games, and plenty of challenge - then Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star is a sure bet. Like all Jewel Quest games before it, the fifth game in this gem-swapping series is extremely challenging and at times frustrating, but that makes it all the more satisfying when you finally do clear a board or get that elusive 5-star ranking.
