Dream Dresses Review
By Nadia Oxford
It's time to own up: you've always wanted to be a pretty, pretty princess, right? No, don't drop your eyes. It's OK. Everybody likes to feel beautiful once in a while. And while Dream Dresses for iOS isn't strictly about dressing up and showing off, the game will give you a shot at running your own dress shop and managing the merchandise on the rack. The Book of Desires Review
By Alicia Ashby
The Book of Desires is a typical HOG, though one that puts a massive emphasis on puzzle solving. Instead of simply solving hidden object scenes to progress the plot, you also need to gather up items and use them at the correct times and places as you explore the game's world. There are also puzzles you are occasionally asked to solve in order to proceed, but these can be skipped. There are two difficulty levels, but the only real difference between them is a shimmer effect for active objects and how quickly the hint timer charges up.Centrifeud Review
By Eli Cymet
Call me old-fashioned, but I miss real multiplayer experiences. The ones where adding a second or third player meant having people in the room instead of waiting for people to join your "room" online. And while it's done wonders to get more people playing, one of my biggest gripes about casual gaming is that less people seem to be playing together. Enter Centrifeud: a great new excuse to yell at your friends and family.Radiant Defense Review
By AJ Dellinger
If a tower defense game is released on the App Store and no one downloads it, can people please stop making them? There are few genres with a more crowded field of competition than tower defense. Despite this, developer Hexage.net has decided to emerge from the shadows with a TD title of their very own. It turns out to be quite fitting that their offering has the word "Radiant" in the title, because Radiant Defense is here to bring new light to the bottomless tower defense pit.Tiny Monsters Review
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that's the case, then Dragonvale creator Backflip Studios might want to consider a restraining order from TinyCo's unhealthy appreciation. Joining their collection of "Tiny" branded games comes Tiny Monsters, a game that comes so close to imitating the classic iOS dragon breeder that you'd barely be able to tell the difference between the two. And while we can't support this kind of blatant plagiarism over the original copy, it's still a good game in its own right.MacGuffin’s Curse Review
By Mike Rose
Whoever came up with the saying "a blessing or a curse" didn't exactly cover all bases. Take MacGuffin's Curse for example, which it turns out is both a blessing and a curse. With the ability to switch from being a weedy little thief into a huge, beefy werewolf and back again, MacGuffin's range of skills just increased tenfold.Little Labyrinths Review
By Jim Squires
As the sophomore release from FlipShip creator ByteSize Games, Little Labyrinths initially appears to zig where FlipShip zagged. Scratch beneath the surface though, and you'll find that this release doesn't stray too far from its predecessors ideals. Both games are about intuitive gameplay, quick bursts of play, and plenty of reasons to come back. But while FlipShip excelled on this last point, Little Labyrinths manages to be a little easier to walk away from.Botanicula Review
By Eli Cymet
I'm the kind of person for whom "scared of spiders" is a huge understatement. Normally, I'm curling slowly into the fetal position while my girlfriend poisons the beasts with a bottle full of shower cleaner. So it's perhaps the highest compliment that I can give to say that Amanita Design's Botanicula makes me want to give the collective insect world one massive hug.
