Slingo Supreme 2 Review
Developer Funkitron has built its name on Slingo and has released a number of successful Slingo titles. Personally, the pure slots-plus-bingo idea never interested me much, but I became a convert once Funkitron began incorporating adventure-style elements into the games. The company's latest release, Slingo Supreme 2 ignores the adventure aspect, however, and returns to the pure Slingo format, doubling down on the number of powerups and minigames. Sadly, this is one of those times where bigger isn't necessarily better.Tower of Fortune Review
By Nick Tylwalk
People in the know tend to describe the average slots player as a chain-smoking woman in her mid-50s. The demographic that enjoys RPGs tends be viewed as young, with more... shall we say, testosterone. And yet, Game Stew Studio has managed to blend those two elements seamlessly to make Tower of Fortune; an iPhone app where gambling is really an adventure.Haunting Mysteries: The Island of Lost Souls Review
By Brandy Shaul
Haunting Mysteries: Island of Lost Souls throws you into the world of paranormal adventure in a fairly standard hidden object game setup. You'll travel throughout the game's many dark, gloomy locations, interacting with ghosts, completing hidden object scenes and puzzles, and trying to ensure your own escape along the way. The storyline here is clichéd yet interesting, and the ease of difficulty should be a welcome element for those looking for an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.Zombie Farm 2 Review
Back in 2010, there was an iOS app that challenged a Farmville-crazed nation with a bold proclamation: why just grow plants when you can grow plants and invading zombies? These worlds came from the proud mouths of Playforge, and their eventual multi-million-download app, Zombie Farm. Two years later, amidst rumors of Zynga stepping their farm up to a second version, it's Playforge's turn to beat them to the punch. Introducing Zombie Farm 2.Top Secret Finders Review
By Brandy Shaul
In a virtual version of 2011, the US government opened a secret division of paranormal or otherwise unusual investigations called the Top Secret Finders. As a member of this elite group of agents, you'll investigate an abandoned town, lost via mysterious circumstances back in the 1970's. As you investigate murders and kidnappings, you'll uncover a conspiracy surrounding mind control, time travel, a scorned lover, mad scientist, world domination and so much more.Witch Wars Review
By Jim Squires
I'm a big fan of match-3 games. Then again, who isn't? But despite their universal appeal, there haven't been many match-3 games that genre fanatics can play together. Witch Wars bucks that trend by creating a competitive multiplayer match-3 experience that's every bit as engrossing as the solo games that have come before it.Oh! Cube Review
By Eli Cymet
When I first started playing Oh! Cube, I hated it. I wasn't prepared for its brand of grid-based number logic, and certainly not in 3D. With a lot of help from my math-loving girlfriend (and a little kicking and screaming), however, I was soon bursting blocks like a pro. It's for that reason that I can't recommend this game enough: it creeps up on you, teaches you its ways, then makes you forget there was ever a time when you didn't know them.Yggdrasil Review
Yggdrasil is a cooperative board game turned iOS app in which you're in command of an army of Norse gods including Thor, Frey and Odin. Your job is to fight back evil creatures from Norse mythology, like Loki, the wolf Fenrir and the serpent/worm Jormungand. Man, those names are a mouthful! It may sound easy, since you're in control of gods and all, but the denizens of Hell aren't going to topple so easily.
