Crabs and Penguins Review
Typically, when you hear the term "advertisement game", it isn't usually an indicator associated with a great product. The last time I decided to abandon this line of thinking, I was left disappointed by Hunger Games: Girl on Fire. So, when I started hearing buzz that Coca-Cola's free new iOS game, Crabs and Penguins, might actually be good, I rolled my eyes. It looks like I've misjudged an advertisement game once again.Trivi.al Review
By Dant Rambo
In the realm of trivia games, offbeat knowledge is the only currency that matters. A well-rounded understanding of history, literature, pop culture, and everything in-between is what it takes to come out on top. It's exactly what enabled Ken Jennings to win Jeopardy 74 times in a row, and precisely what will lead you to victory in Trivi.al for iOS.Infected: The Twin Vaccine Review
Nothing seems harder when making games, than coming up with unique concepts. That's probably why so many developers avoid the struggle entirely and prefer to dip into the collective repository of well-known motifs. Now and then however, something different comes along, and this time it's Infected: The Twin Vaccine, a new hidden object adventure by Canadian developer Gogii Games.SQUIDS Wild West Review
SQUIDS Wild West is worth the money. I don't really like evaluating games from the cost/benefit perspective, but SQUIDS Wild West is undeniably worth the budget price it costs in the App Store. This game could sell for $35 on the 3DS and it wouldn't be out of place next to the other pieces of software available for the system. Yet at launch, this game only costs 99 cents. Its artwork, its animations, its character -- almost everything about SQUIDS exudes warmth and attention to detail. It is a labor of love, not just a product. And, most importantly, it's fun.Asphalt 7: Heat Review
By Leif Johnson
The second I realized that my iPhone was growing a little too warm for comfort, I found myself wondering if GameLoft had played a little joke on us in calling their new game Asphalt 7: Heat. The feeling passed quickly, however, because I was too involved in navigating the streets of London with the DeLorean from Back to the Future (while picking up XP bonuses and cash) to notice. So while it may eat up your mobile's battery's life, Asphalt 7 might just be the best mobile racing experience currently available.Swing Shot Review
By David Oxford
The slingshot/catapult-style of gameplay seen in many games, from Crush the Castle to Angry Birds and all of their derivatives, has begun to feel like it's getting tiresome and repetitive as time goes on. Thankfully, Swing Shot manages to take the core foundation of this gameplay and breathe some new life into it with new twists and a more competitive aspect.Monster Paradise Review
By Andy Chalk
The first time I tried a digital collectible card game (or whatever the proper term for the genre is), I had very low expectations yet quickly found myself ensnared by the admittedly Pavlovian gameplay, and I continue to tap for rewards to this very day. But Monster Paradise, despite excellent production values and a powerful, irresistibly cute Pokemon aesthetic, leaves me cold. It's not necessarily a bad game, it's just not particularly necessary.Quizboard Review
By Dant Rambo
Trivia is, in many ways, like chocolate. It can be served up in countless different ways, most of which are oh-so delicious. The aptly-named Quizboard, for example, takes the action to a game board, challenging players to make their way across the playing field by answering questions correctly. Are you a bad enough dude?
