Yum Num’s Galaxy Review
Yum Num's Galaxy is for children and their parents. If you plonked this game down in front of a person 12 years of age or older and told them to have fun with it, they would play it for five minutes before turning it off and telling you it sucked. Without any context, this game is not much fun. But Yum Num's Galaxy is not intended for people 12 years of age or older. It's intended for very young children and parents who are willing to go the extra mile.Synesthetic Review
The one thing I admire most about iOS is that it's allowed independent game developers to try daring new things and make money doing it. To the ridicule of some and the praise of others, the App Store and other means of digital distribution have allowed developers to veer away from the conventions of mainstream gaming, emphasizing experience over what gamers usually expect: action, high scores, challenge, etc.ELECTRIC CITY The Revolt Review
By AJ Dellinger
The popularity of the App Store since it's opening in 2008 has grown exponentially, both in downloads and in active apps available. As such, it should come as no surprise that it has become a great bulletin board for marketing teams looking score awareness for a new product or franchise. Tie-in apps and games now regularly pop up in the App Store and, for better or worse, they probably aren't going anywhere.Great Big War Game Review
The hex is one of my favorite things and, no, I'm not talking about witchcraft. I'm talking about the shape and what it represents to us gamers. As a kid I remember finding one of my dad's old wargames, the arcane kind with plastic bags full of abstract, cardboard chits representing different units. I remember thumbing through the thick instruction booklet and wondering how anybody could ever play a game with so many rules.Follow the Rabbit Review
By Dant Rambo
Have you ever tried to catch a rabbit? In my experience, it's pretty much impossible. Mind you, I can't remember why I was chasing one, but the point remains. As luck would have it, though, that only pertains to the real world. I managed to catch a couple in Super Mario 64, and yet another in Follow the Rabbit for iOS. Now don't get the wrong idea: I'm not the kind of guy who goes around chasing rabbits for no good reason.Old Clockmaker’s Riddle Review
By Brandy Shaul
Life in a quaint country village is normal and safe until the town's massive clock tower suddenly stops working. With the clock tower gone, a magical force takes over the down, destroying buildings and forcing villagers to flee. Through a bit of coincidence, you'll come across this town and will be encouraged to help restore each individual building before this magical curse can become permanent.Jewels with Buddies Review
The gamer population is growing exponentially, in large part due to the veritable flood of games being released on mobile platforms. Of course, it can be hard to fish the winners out of this monster wave of apps. That's what makes it so special when you do find something good—something like Jewels With Buddies. This cute match-three game by Stofle Designs will no doubt be responsible for creating a good number of new gamer converts.A Gnome’s Home: The Great Crystal Crusade Review
By Brandy Shaul
The underground world of the gnomes was once a vibrant, peaceful place. A great Crystal of Life shining down upon the civilization, bringing happiness to everyone in the area. But when an evil witch steals the crystal and destroys this once-beautiful world, you'll be called in to help retrieve pieces of a magical wand that can defeat her, and return life to the area. So begins A Gnome's Home: The Great Crystal Crusade. Epic, right? A little less epic? All the time management quests that follow.
