Pixel People Review
Welcome to Utopia, population: one mayor (that's you!), one gene-splicing mechanic, and an infinite supply of clones. Your ability to build a bustling city in space is the only hope left for the entire civilization of Earth after a sudden disaster left it, well… destroyed. Luckily, your Pixel People want nothing more than to take on whatever lifelong job you assign to them and become productive members of this fledgling society. Let's get splicing.Stratego Review
By Nick Tylwalk
If you've never played Stratego before, well friend, you're a little late to the party. It's a classic board game of capture the flag that's simple enough to learn quickly, but full of subtle strategies. While it's been around for ages, it's never been given a treatment like Jumbo and Keesing Games just put together, playable on iPad or any web browser and with plenty of great new features.Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 2: The Wise Monkey Review
By Andy Chalk
A funny thing happened about halfway through the second installation of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller: it stopped being terrible. I actually almost started to think that I could possibly end up maybe kind of enjoying it. It was still clunky, overwrought and flat-out silly, but somewhere off in the distance I saw a glimmer of something I honestly did not expect: hope.Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life Review
By John Anthony
Mysterious artifacts and adventurous treasure hunters are a well-established part of the hidden object genre. What you might not expect, though, are scores of live actors, exciting airship crashes, spirit-like races of beings, and frightfully malefic villains. Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life has all of the excitement you'd expect from a summer blockbuster stuffed inside a hidden object game.Cracking Sands Review
By David Oxford
Despite touting itself as "this year's most hotly anticipated racer" (January isn't even over yet), Cracking Sands sings a familiar tune across its dusty landscapes: A game which seems like it might have had some potential, but instead wound up falling well short of it.Surface: The Soaring City Review
By Joe Jasko
Have you ever wished you could fly? And I don't mean in airplanes or hot air balloons or anything like that. I'm talking about spreading your wings, leaving the ground, and touching the clouds. Well in Surface: The Soaring City, you'll get a picture of what that might be like as you embark on a whimsical hidden object adventure to save your brother Jeremy, the famous inventor, who has built a floating city in the sky.TetDraw Review
TetDraw is an intriguing puzzler that attempts to combine the sophistication of graph paper puzzles with the spatial puzzles of Tetris and other similar games. It's charming in a fifth-period math class kind of way, chock-full of special activities to help you better understand the relationships between shapes and puzzle pieces.Pantheon the Legends Review
By Andy Chalk
Anyone familiar with the collectible card battle game genre will feel right at home with Pantheon the Legends. You'll complete "quests" to collect virtual cards representing gods, heroes, and other mythological figures from ancient Greece, enhance and ascend them, assemble treasures and, of course, battle your fellow players for fame, fortune, and bragging rights. In most ways it's very much like other games in the CCG milieu, but it also adds a few new ideas to the mix and that makes it worth a second look.
