Escape the Titanic Review
By Nadia Oxford
Ohhh they built the ship Titanic to sail the ocean blue, for they thought they had a ship that the water would never go through. Spoiler alert: it all ended badly. Like, really badly. But not everyone automatically went to a watery grave, however, as Escape the Titanic for iOS and Android demonstrates. This puzzle/escape game challenges you to fight your way to safety from the lower decks of the doomed vessel. It's a unique premise that offers some interesting puzzles, but it has a slow leak or two that dampens the experience.MetalStorm: Aces Review
By Rob Rich
The sequel to Z2Live's rather popular arcade-style aerial combat game is here, and it's chock full of more dogfighting goodness. Things in MetalStorm: Aces are a little different this time around, mostly thanks to a much larger campaign, but there are still plenty of planes to fly (and shoot down). And so long as nobody's looking for a rich and meticulous flight simulation, there's all sorts of fun to be had.Myths of the World: Chinese Healer Review
By Brandy Shaul
Myths of the World: Chinese Healer is the first entry in a potential new series of hidden object puzzle games, and it definitely kicks the series off with a bang. Players take on the role of a famous Chinese healer with the power to manipulate seemingly normal items to create potions or cast spells. When the emperor's son is struck with illness, it will be up to you to determine the cause and stop the traitor to the throne before it's too late. The Walking Dead: 400 Days Review
By Mike Rose
The Walking Dead was Gamezebo's Game of the Year in 2012. It also happened to be my own personal game of the year, thanks to its immense storytelling and the sheer amount of choice that the game offers. Thus, to say that I was looking forward to 400 Days, a special episode aimed at tying Seasons One and Two together, may perhaps prove understatement of the year.Arena of Heroes Review
By Nick Tylwalk
No matter how well you know your way around your favorite MOBA, one thing can still hold you back when the action heats up: not being fast enough on the mouse and keyboard. Or as Futurama's Robot Devil succinctly put it, "stupid fingers." Arena of Heroes by Sneaky Games and Zattikka solves that problem with an ingenious turn-based solution, but several other aspects keep it from really shaking up its genre.League of Evil 3 Review
By Joe Jasko
Just because you work in a high-tech laboratory and wear a prestigious lab coat, that doesn't make you any smarter than me. The League of Evil series has become well known around the App Store for its challenging, instant-death platforming gameplay, and for giving the world's smarty-pants scientists exactly what they had coming. But how does League of Evil 3 stand up against the same scientific bloodbaths we've already been enjoying for the last several years?Charade Parade Review
By Nadia Oxford
Ah, Charades. The ol' party standby that you whip out when your guests have been at the alcohol long enough to start dwelling on their depressing life choices. Even though sitting in a room and shrieking out random words is what makes Charades fun, Mixamo's Charade Parade for mobile provides a quiet, single-player charades experience. It's novel for a while, but technical issues will soon prompt you to turn off your iPhone and rejoin the real party.Layton Brothers: Mystery Room Review
Layton Brothers: Mystery Room puts players in the gumshoes of Lucy Baker, the newest deputy constable at London's New Scotland Yard Serious Crime Division Classified Investigation Agency Headquarters, or the Mystery Room for short. Lucy signs on as the assistant to Professor Alfendi Layton, investigator extraordinaire and highly capable son of the riddle-loving, tea-drinking Hershel Layton of Nintendo DS fame. While Alfendi's focus is on heinous murders instead of peculiar artifacts, the same keen eye and puzzle-solving capabilities that served the elder Layton will help Alfendi snag criminal suspects.
