Halfbrick going all-out with Fruit Ninja merchandise
Halfbrick's slash-a-thon game Fruit Ninja is seriously having a moment. The game, which has surpassed 130 million downloads already and whose success inspired a Kinect-enabled console version, is about to come blasting out of the digital world and launch a full-on invasion into meatspace. Today Halfbrick announced new partnerships with a slew of partners that will spawn all manner of new Fruit Ninja themed merchandise.

Social games publisher MocoSpace today announced the launch of five brand new games, all of them powered by the company's HTML5 mobile gaming platform. Here's a quick rundown of the titles;

The vast majority of the US gaming audience is mostly unfamiliar with Japanese publisher GREE, but that is likely to change in the coming months. The company announced today that it is entering into partnerships with both Ubisoft and Gameloft to bring new titles to the States.

Rovio announces Angry Birds Space

FriendFinder Networks shuts down Fierce Wombat Games, Red November release in limbo
Less than two months since the studio was first announced, it looks as though FriendFinder Networks has already put its subsidiary Fierce Wombat Games out to pasture. The studio, headed up by Namco and 2K Games veteran Graeme Bayless, has been shut down by its parent company an insider close to one of their projects tells us.
