Google updates Android Market, rebrands it Google Play
Today Google announced a drastic overhaul of the way it delivers digital content, rolling the previously disparate Android Marketplace, Google Music and Google eBookstore into a brand new, unified service known as Google Play. The idea is to share all your movies, music, books, games and more across one account via the cloud, so Android users can easily access on their content on all their devices.
Big Fish Games acquires Card Ace: Casino maker Self Aware Games
Casino games have been exploding in popularity recently, and now it looks like Big Fish Games might be getting into the game after acquiring Self Aware Games and its parent, Social Concepts. Self Aware's most notable release was Card Ace: Casino for iOS and Android platforms. Self-Aware's other projects include Fleck and Taxiball, and they're also working on a location-based mobile MMO title.
Temple Run lands on Android March 27
Temple Run has been a runaway success for iOS devices, and Android users have long been awaiting their turn to put the endless running title through its paces. While we reported back in January that an Android version was in the works, we didn't have a solid date. Now we know for a fact that Temple Run will be sucking up the free time of Android users on March 27.

Dungeon Overlord gets expansion, mobile companion app coming soon
Night Owl Games has announced their Facebook strategy hit, Dungeon Overlord, is making its way to the App Store and Android Marketplace in the form of a companion app. Dungeon Overlord puts the player in the less than surprising role of an overlord of a dungeon. In order to build the best dungeon possible, the player will need to build an army, gather resources, and build structures - and later this year they'll be able to check their progress on the go.
iSwifter to stream PC Games to mobile devices
In some cool GDC week news, we've just learned that iSwifter is extending their cloud-based streaming platform to allow developers to bring PC game to iOS and Android devices. The company has been bringing Flash games to iOS since 2010, but have found a way to scale up their operation so that PC games can also make the jump with minimal fuss. iSwifter operates in a similar manner to OnLive and Gaikai, with the games running on iSwifter servers and players inputting commands on their device.
