Majesco shuts down mobile/social branch Majesco Boston
By Dant Rambo
Despite only being around for about a year and a half, Majesco Boston has been closed down. The studio was responsible for games like Legends of Loot and Sci-Fi Heroes, not to mention online football sim Quick Hit Football, the game which inspired Majesco to purchase the Quick Hit studio and turn them into Majesco Boston.Age of Empires Online ceasing development, switching over to “support” phase
By Dant Rambo
I hate giving bad news right before the weekend, but I'm afraid I have no choice: Age of Empires Online, a relatively new free-to-play RTS, will no longer be receiving new content. But there's a bit of good news, as well! Developer Gas Powered Games intends to keep supporting the game with bug fixes, contests, PvP tournaments, and more. See? Always a bright side.Free Games and Sales: Swordigo, Dungeon Village and more!
By Jim Squires
Good news! There aren't many sales this weekend. It's ok, though. After having overspent on Christmas, New Year's, and all the sales in-between, your wallet could probably use a break.Gamezebo’s Editor-in-Chief makes his 2013 Predictions
By Jim Squires
Another year, another list of predictions. You'd think by know we'd realize that we're not quite Nostradamus, right? HA! Nostradamus was a chump!! For it is I, Gamezebo's humble editor who is the Seer of Seers, the Sage of Sages, the Prognosticator of Prognosticat… oh? That's Punxsutawney Phil? That darned groundhog!Associate Editor Dant Rambo’s Game Predictions for 2013
By Dant Rambo
I've said it before and I'll say it again: no one out there knows for certain where video games are headed. But that doesn't mean we can't make educated guesses - or at least I hope it doesn't, because that's what I'm about to do. What follows are my predictions for 2013, a year that's shaping up to be a wild one for video games.Replay Wednesdays: King Oddball, Dark Strokes: Sins of the Fathers and more!
By Jim Squires
We cover plenty of new games here at Gamezebo every week, but the number of games we've already covered that show up on new platforms? It's staggering. This Wednesday and every Wednesday, Gamezebo is rounding up the games that aren't quite new, but might be new to you depending on your platform of choice. And who doesn't love new(ish) games?Kickstarter Picks: GameTron 1000
By Dant Rambo
The thing about most video games is that they're a known quantity. When you fire up Super Mario Bros., you know you're going to get a 2D platformer with Goombas, warp pipes, and that jerk Lakitu dropping spiked turtles on you. There's nothing wrong with that, necessarily, but it isn't how GameTron 1000 rolls. It has the ability to randomly generate games across a wide variety of genres, making no two experiences with it the same.Gamezebo Founder Joel Brodie’s Crazy Game Predictions for 2013
By Joel Brodie
There is nothing duller than when prognosticators make obvious predictions. So, let's get them out of the way: iOS will continue to be the dominant platform for games. The Wii U will fail. Tablets will remain huge and games retail and the console market will continue to falter. Duh!
