Ty the Tasmanian Tiger returns in new Windows 8 game on July 24
Krome Studios has announced today that the next long-awaited installment in their Ty the Tasmanian Tiger franchise will be headed to Windows 8 tablets and PCs on July 24. Simply titled Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (not to be confused with the original 2002 game of the same name), Ty's return will no longer be a 3D open world platformer, but rather a gorgeously illustrated 2D sidescrolling platformer, similar to the jump that Rayman made from Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc to Rayman Origins.

You may think you've seen Ittle Dew before: the green-robed, blonde-haired heroine seems directly linked to Nintendo's adventure star and even comes equipped with her own fairylike companion. With a thirst for treasure and little more than a trusty stick to her name, the barefoot conquistador does find herself in locations befitting the The Legend of Zelda's Hylian hero, but must use more brains than brawn to find her way back out.

DuckTales: Remastered releases next month!
Capcom has announced today that their highly-anticipated DuckTales: Remastered will be releasing on August 13, for PC and most major home video game consoles. All digital versions of the game are expected to be priced at $14.99. A boxed retail version will also be released exclusively for PlayStation 3, and will come with a special collector's pin.
