JoyBits’ Doodle series surpasses 100m downloads; new updates and games announced
JoyBits has announced today that their popular elemental puzzle series Doodle (currently comprised of Doodle God, Doodle Devil, and Doodle Farm) has amassed 100 million unique downloads across all platforms worldwide since the original Doodle God first launched on iPhone in July of 2010. This staggering number includes all downloads and installs on mobile platforms like iTunes and Android, as well as unique play sessions on internet portals like Kongregate, which makes up a cool 60m of the total milestone.

Gameglobe is a game creation engine and community developed by Square Enix and Bigpoint. The browser-based builder launched in closed beta in summer of 2012 and is now available for open play by anyone with an internet connection. Despite the general sameness of each title with minute changes to keep things fresh, Team17 consistently makes just enough of those changes to warrant the yearly refresh. Worms Clan Wars follows in this mold, making lots of little updates, plus one big one.

Proper MMORPG reviews are difficult to do. Except for power levelers, the whole idea of playing a game in that genre is that it's a marathon, not a sprint. That doesn't mesh well with the concept of deadlines, which is what editors usually insist upon.
