Game Introduction – Zombie Cookin’

Zombie Cookin’ is a cooking simulation game from Capcom/Beeline. The café is yours for the taking, and you’ve got to serve up some tasty brains to your bloodthirsty customers. Things can get hectic around the café, so luckily you have Gamezebo’s quick start guide that has all the tips, tricks and cheats you’ll need to stay ahead of everything.

Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

Zombie Cookin'

  • To get started and playing Zombie Cookin’, you’ll first need to download and install the app by clicking the “Play Now” button at the top of this screen.
  • Once the game has finished installing, you can find the app on your home screen. Tap on the icon labeled “Zombie Cookin’” to get playing.
  • At the main menu in the game, press Play to immediately start playing. A short tutorial will follow giving you the basic premises that the game is based around.

Playing the game

  • The basic gameplay elements in Zombie Cookin’ vary, and it generally has more action than other games like it, so you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared for each section.

Zombie Cookin'

  • Stu’s Brain Stew requires you to Gather Brains, Slice them, Peel them, Slice again, Chop, and assemble it. We’ll take you through each of these elements so you have the different elements down pat.

  • One of the first elements you will be introduced to in Zombie Cookin’ is the brain gathering mechanic. What this means is that you will have to cut the brains out of people’s heads to make the dish for your guests.
  • Gathering brains is broken up into two parts, and they’re fairly simple to understand and perform. Simply slice where the dotted line is when you have your victim, then drag their brain out of their head once it is loose. You will need to do this five times in order to have enough brains for Stu’s Brain Stew.
  • After each element of dish making, you will be given a score based on how well and quickly you performed on that action.

  • Slicing is next, and is easier than brain gathering, only requiring you to simply slice on the dotted line. Peeling is the same way; simply drag your finger along the dotted line to finish.

Zombie Cookin'

  • Chopping is only slightly different, with you having to tap where indicated to perform the action.

  • Lastly, you’ll need to assemble the dish by putting it all in the pot and letting it boil. The ingredients will jiggle when they are ready to be placed into the pot. Once you’ve finished assembling, the dish is ready to serve.
  • Note: Each recipe will require different types of preparation. This guide only covers one recipe.

  • Cooking will take a few minutes up to a few hours. When it’s done, tap on the stove to retrieve it. Now tap on the pot to complete cooking the dish. You will then receive a coin and XP bonus depending on how well the dish was cooked.

Zombie Cookin'

  • To start cooking another dish, tap on the zombie recipe book sitting on the main table. Any recipes you have purchased will be available here.
  • On the recipe screen, you will be able to see what ingredients are required to cook the dish. If you don’t have any of the ingredients, you will need to send out a zombie horde or buy some from the fridge to get some more.
  • The refrigerator is in your kitchen and holds all of the ingredients you currently have at your disposal. Occasionally, you will also be able to purchase ingredients from it to make some neat recipes.

  • To access the zombie horde, break down the barricaded window at the back of the kitchen by tapping on it. Now tap on the horde trying to get in through the window, and then tap on the available horde. Now decide how long you’d like the horde to be gone for, and then wait for them to come back.
  • If you don’t want to wait for the horde to come back, or for dishes to cook, you can use Bones (premium currency) to rush things along. Be careful though, Bones can get expensive if you use them too liberally.

Customizing your zombie and kitchen

  • While cooking delish dishes is your main objective in Zombie Cookin’, you might as well look the part too.
  • To access the zombie customization screen, tap on your zombie while in the kitchen.
  • On the zombie customization screen, you have several options when it comes to choosing the different parts of the zombie. Categories such as eyes, gender, hair, faces, accessories and more.
  • You can also redecorate your kitchen by tapping on the paint supplies on the floor. Redecoration can be expensive and is less important than cooking recipes, so I wouldn’t spend much time or money on it if you can help it.

Leaderboards and mastery

  • In Zombie Cookin’, you can access online leaderboards so that you can compare just how good of a cook you are compared to your friends.
  • To access the leaderboards option, tap on the bulletin board to the left of the fridge. You will be taken to a screen that shows you and your friends’ rankings as chefs.
  • Note: You will need a Game Center account to use the leaderboard option. If you do not have a Game Center account, you can create one using the Game Center app on your device with your iTunes ID.

Zombie Cookin'

  • Mastering recipes is another feature in Zombie Cookin’, and allows you to become the master of each recipe. To master a dish, you will need to cook it repeatedly and do it well.
  • Once you have mastered a dish, open up your recipe book and you will have a star under the picture of the dish to indicate you have mastered the dish.

Congratulations!
