Yes Chef! is a match-three puzzle game from Halfbrick Studios. In this game, you match up three or more identical food items to score points, clear obstacles, and feed hungry restaurant patrons. Gamezebo’s Yes Chef! tips, cheats and strategies will help you run a clean cafe.

  • Upgrade all your food item scores at least once – When you three-star a level of Yes Chef!, you earn a medal that can be used to upgrade your scoring potential. Make sure to upgrade the score of each food item at least once before you spend extra medals on upgrading an item twice or three times.
  • Go back and three-star levels for more medals – Is a level driving you crazy? You’d be surprised how much easier it is to three-star if you come back and tackle it later.
  • Don’t forget to claim your Fruit Ninja bonuses – Yes Chef! has a unique feature: It links up with Halfbrick’s Fruit Ninja and grants you special bonuses for that game when you earn achievements in Yes Chef!. If you’re a fan of Fruit Ninja, don’t forget to check in on occasion and see what you’ve won.

  • The better you do at a level, the more energy you get back – Every level of Yes Chef! costs energy to play, but you can earn back some of that energy when you win a level. The more stars you earn, the more energy you get back. Needless to say, if you don’t win, you don’t get any energy back. You can wait for an energy refill, or buy them with hard currency (coins) or cash.
  • Combine special pieces – You get special pieces when you make a match of four or more identical pieces. Combine these special pieces for big results.
  • Wait and see what move the game suggests – but don’t automatically make it – Not sure how to move? Yes Chef! is pretty good at suggesting useful matches. Just wait a few seconds for the hint to appear. Don’t move hastily, though: Sometimes there’s something better. The suggested match often works well as an attention-getter that helps you identify decent moves nearby.

  • The “extra moves” power up is useful and cost-effective – The main reason we fail at match-three games is because we simply run out of moves before we can complete our goal. That’s why Yes Chef!’s extra moves power-up is a good choice. For a paltry couple of hundred dollars (in-game currency, of course) you gain an extra two moves. This can mean all the difference between victory and defeat.
  • Aim for the rainbow – Match five pieces in a straight line to make a rainbow vial. Switch out any piece with the vial to zap all identical pieces off the board. It’s a great way to clean house, especially when ice is involved.
  • Having trouble with a stage? Make as many four- or- five-piece matches as possible – If you’re having issues meeting a specific goal, try looking at the broader picture. Make as many four- or- five-piece matches as you can anywhere on the board. More often than not, the explosive results help you meet your goal with minimal frustration.
  • You can back out of a stage without losing energy as long as you don’t make a move – Entered the wrong level? Don’t worry. You can leave without penalty as long as you don’t swap any game pieces.
