Wild Bullets is a brand new arcade shooter that features levels that almost play out like puzzles. You can punch to move forward, shoot to move backwards, and move left and right to dodge bullets.

Using just these simple controls, you’ll fight a bunch of cowboys, avoid explosions, and collect coins and upgrades. It’s a bit like a roguelike in that sense, as you’ll lose everything when you die and have to start over.

To help prevent that from happening as often, we’ve got a bunch of tips and tricks to help you live longer.

Wild Bullets Tips and Tricks:

  • Aim for combos: Kill an enemy and you trigger a short combo window. Kill another before that ends and you’ll create a combo. We’re not entirely sure what combos do but you might as well combo, eh?
  • Get into cover: If you get right behind any object, be it barrel, chest, or wall and you’ll get into cover. This not only makes you invincible to bullet damage but will also prevent you flying backwards while firing. Once we discovered this, our survivability grew considerably. Just be careful of explosives.
  • Learn enemy attack patterns: Enemies have attack patterns that you can learn. Some will attack twice, some sideways, others will throw bombs. Spend time learning what each of them do so you can figure out how to counter them at a glance.
  • Break ammo chests for weapon upgrades: Weapon upgrades will seriously help your survival, as they’ll kill enemies much faster than your standard pistol. Whenever you see the lovely gold chest, punch it into oblivion and get that handy weapon upgrade. Just bear in mind that it does run out.
  • Keep an eye on your ammo count: On the top right of the screen, you’ll see your ammo indicator. We strongly recommend keeping a close eye on this as you do need to reload when it’s up. It might be worth firing off the last few rounds before going into the next room to reload.
