VegasTowers – Game Introduction

VegasTowers is an iPhone and iPad game developed by SiuYiu Limited that lets you build the biggest and most lavish hotel in all of Sin City. Gamezebo’s VegasTowers strategy guide and walkthrough will provide you with a quick start guide, tips and tricks, hints and cheats to help you build the biggest tower of all.

Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

  • To play VegasTowers on your iOS device simply click the “Free – Play Now” button at the top of this page.
VegasTowers
  • In order to play you’ll first need to set-up an account. To do this you can sign in using your Game Center ID or through Facebook Connect. Or, you can simply choose your own nickname and use neither.
VegasTowers
  • From there you’ll need to name your hotel and then it’s off to start building.

Interface and Building Rooms

  • At the top right hand corner of the screen you’ll see a whole bunch of information, which you’ll need to keep an eye on as you play. This includes the name of your tower, the time of day in-game (every minute in the game is one second in real life), how much cash you have, how many favors you have, the current population of your hotel, and your experience level.
  • At the bottom of the screen you’ll see your current quest listed in text and a big “Menu” button. This button gives you access to most of the in-game interactions.
  • The build menu is where you can select rooms to build. Each room will have several pieces of information listed below its name. This includes how much cash it costs to purchase, how many favors it requires to purchase, and how much noise the room produces. Some rooms will also list a licensing requirement below. This means that you’ll need to purchase that particular license to build it.

  • Noise – Most rooms produce at least some noise, but you’ll want to keep the noisiest ones away from your hotel rooms. Too much noise around a hotel room will lead to unhappy customers.
  • The build menu is divided up into several categories:
  • Build floors – this is where you can add additional floors to your hotel. You can buy them in groups of either one, five, or 10.
  • Stairway – stairs and escalators allow customers access to the upper levels.
  • Elevator shafts – like stairs, elevator shafts give customers access to higher levels. In order to make them usable the shafts will need to be placed on top of one another.
  • Elevator cars – the shafts are useless without a car, so make sure you have enough money to buy both.
  • Hotel rooms – these are the rooms that your customers stay in. You’ll need to come by and periodically clean them up. If you see a mess in the room it means it needs cleaning. The bigger and more expensive a room is the more money it earns you. Every time you clean a room you’ll earn money.
  • Lobby – lobbies are large areas where your customers can hang out.

  • Fast food, restaurants, and retail shops – all of the businesses you can purchase in the game behave the same and will produce money at specific intervals. Tapping a business will tell you how long it is until you can next collect money. You can also choose to demolish it from this menu. When there’s money to be collected you’ll see a large dollar bill in front of the business.
  • Amenities – these are necessary things like washrooms, cashiers, and security.
  • Entertainment and rooftop entertainment – these are the big money makers, though they’re also both the most expensive rooms in the game and the noisiest.
  • To build a room simply select it from the menu, and provided you have all the requirements (money, licenses, etc.) you’ll be able to place it in your hotel. Each room takes up a certain amount of blocks and they can’t overlap. It’s also important to try and not waste any blocks with empty space, so plan accordingly.

  • Occasionally you’ll get a warning that something hazardous has happened at the hotel, such as a fire or food poisoning. As long as you fix the issue in a timely manner, no damage will be done. If not, you’ll need to pay a fee to repair the affected room.

  • To see whether or not a customer is happy simply tap on them. This will bring up a quote and a meter that shows whether they are happy or angry. You can also see what they’re currently up to from here.

Licenses, Neighbors, and Premium Currency

VegasTowers

  • From the “Tower” section of the menu you can access three different sub-menus:
  • Licenses – these are necessary for unlocking additional content. You’ll need to pay a certain amount of cash and favors and you’ll get a bonus. It can be everything from a reduced chance of clogged pipes to unlocking new customers for your hotel. You won’t actually know what exactly a license does until you purchase it.
  • Statistics – here you can find all sorts of statistics related to your tower., such as how tall it is, how many days it has been around, and what the hotel room to business ratio is. Sometimes you’ll see tips based on this information at the bottom of the screen.
  • Rename – you can also change the name of your hotel, though this will cost you one favor.
VegasTowers
  • The “Neighbors” menu option allows you to visit other people’s hotels.
  • The “Chat” option lets you participate in a live chat with other players, where you can ask for help or tips or just talk.
VegasTowers
  • The second to last menu option is “Goals.” These represent the various goals the game gives you, which can range from building a certain number of hotel rooms to reaching a certain height. While you don’t have to complete goals, they are the easiest and cheapest way to earn favors.
VegasTowers
  • The final menu option is where you can spend real-world money on things in-game. For the most part you can only buy cash and favors, but you can also spend a few dollars to turn off the in-game advertisements.
