Wondering how Vampire Survivors evolution works? Well, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we break down the entire Vampire Survivors evolve system so you can make more sense of it. We’ll even include a list of all of the evolutions currently available in the game, so you can unlock them all and absolutely dominate.

Vampire Survivors is a devilishly addictive blend of bullet hell, roguelike, and RPG. You play as a vampire, and have to strive to survive as long as possible against hordes of enemies. The longer you survive, the more gold you collect, which you can spend on upgrades. Hopefully, that will help you survive just a little longer in the next round.

It’s a very similar game to HoloCure, our game of the moment. We’ve put together a series of guides on that, as well, including a HoloCure tier list, HoloCure weapons list, HoloCure items list, and HoloCure collabs list.

How Does Vampire Survivors Evolution Work?

Put briefly, Vampire Survival evolution is when you combine a weapon and passive item to create a stronger, evolved weapon. An evolved weapon inherits the base stats of the initial weapon, with additional effects.

How do I Evolve a Weapon?

To evolve a weapon, it must first be level eight and you must have a compatible passive item in your inventory. You then have to find a ‘Treasure Chest’, which usually drop after you defeat a boss. Rather than get the usual random upgrade, you will instead get an evolved weapon out of the chest.

This will, of course, remove the regular version of the weapon, though you won’t lose the passive item. It’s worth noting that you can only evolve one item per chest, with a few exceptions.
