Valiant Force 2 is pretty generous during its opening segment. Once you’ve completed the tutorial, you gain access to the Valiant Force 2 selector, which provides you with a free SSR hero. Better yet though, you get to select from a bunch of different options.

The only downside to this is that you actually have to make a decision, and a pretty important one at that. SSR units are the most powerful in the game, and they’re pretty difficult to come by if you’re not used to spending a ton of your own money.

So, if you want to get off to a strong start, you need to make sure you pick the right one. That’s where we come in. In this guide, we’re not only going to tell you which hero to pick, but we’re also going to tell you why. We’ll also detail the skills of all of them so you can make your own choice if you’d prefer that.

You can also check out the official website, as well as our Valiant Force 2 tier list, Valiant Force 2 codes, and Valiant Force 2 reroll to learn more about the game.

Valiant Force 2 Selector

So, let’s start by telling you more about the selector. You unlock this feature when you complete the tutorial, and all you have to do is select one of three different hero options. Here’s who you can pick:

Altima

Altima is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, capable of supporting allies with increased magic resistance, as well as healing, and boosting attack. They can also hit hard on the offensive, so you can’t really go wrong.

Given the support options, you know you’re in safe hands with Altima.

Faye

Faye is a bit more of a defensive choice, who’s difficult to actually defeat. They may not be capable of dealing much damage on their own, but their ability to reflect damage certainly comes in handy.

But it’s the Last Stand ability that really sets Faye apart. They earn stacks of this in battle, and each time they receive a fatal blow, they lose a stack and remain alive with a HP point.

Aside from this, Faye can also reduce the attack of all opponents.

Victoria

The third choice, Victoria, is a defensive support unit that boosts the physical resistance of all heroes. Not only that, but Victoria shares Faye’s ability to reduce their opponent’s attack power.

Victoria’s real strength is in their ability to reduce the taunt ability of opponents.

Who Should I Pick?

Well, after detailing the above, we reckon you’ll get the most mileage out of Altima. This unit has no real downsides, and will keep your heroes alive in difficult battles by healing them.

Then there’s the attack boost and increased magic defence, which is a great bonus.

Faye and Victoria are also strong, of course, but just not quite as handy in all circumstances as Altima. Both can reduce opponent’s attack damage, which is great, but both their skills are a bit niche.

Altima heals – that’s going to keep you all alive. Faye keeps themself alive, and Victoria will prove great against opponents that taunt.
