Welcome to Gamezebo’s strategy guide for Vacation Mogul

General Tips:

• The most important tip which will help you to avoid real frustration is that you can replay each level as often as you want to to earn experience points. You even don’t have to improve your performance to do that. This is especially a good idea to purchase the bonuses at the research lab early on, because those bonuses can make a strong difference on the most challenging levels.
• Buy the house on the central island as soon as you have earned $1,000,000:

• Sometimes tourists in trouble will appear in the sea. Click them to save them from drowning and to earn some bonus money:

• You can pass level with magnate-rating, shark-rating, or an ordinary "Well done!" The better you perform, the higher you income and the more experience points you will earn which can be invested in blueprints, upgrades and bonuses.
• In the beginning of each level you will learn the specific goals for that level. They can also be seen while playing in the top right corner of the screen:

• In the bottom of the screen you can see a number beside "Line". This number tells you how many tourists are currently waiting to get into your resort. If this number is zero you should build amenities quickly to attract new tourists:

• On the top of the screen you can also see your income bar and the current amount of money in your possession:

• Right beside your current amount of money is the timer and an indication how much time you have to finish the level with magnate-rating. The timer does not start until you start building, selling or upgrading anything:

Buildings:

• All sorts of buildings can only be built on plots in your possession. In the large majority of cases buildings should be constructed on plots equal their size to not waste any space.

Accommodations:
        VM_11

• Accommodations are your major source of income. You should only construct these buildings on premium plots, because they increase the income of accommodations by ten percent:

Amenities:
       

• Amenities do not provide any income, but they attract new tourists to your resort. Without tourists, your accommodations won’t provide any income, nor will your shops.

Shops:
       

• The income of shops totally depends on how many of your own accommodations are in its sphere of influence. Upgrading those shops does not increase the income per se, but it extends a shop’s sphere of influence. If no new accommodations of yourself will become part of a shop’s sphere of influence, it is worthless to upgrade it.
• Central spots are always the most effective way to add shops to your resorts.

Blueprints & Bonuses:

• It always takes some time to acquire blueprints for any new building. Instead of wasting experience points to speed up the acquisition I would recommend you to replay a previous level in the meantime. In that way you earn more experience points which you can invest in bonuses then.
• You have to purchase certain blueprints or upgrades to be able to progress in the game. If you encounter a situation where you do not have enough experience points to buy a required blueprint, simply replay previous levels to earn enough experience points to go on.
• In the bottom you can find the bonuses which simplify the gameplay, while above you can activate all the different types of buildings:

Walkthrough:

• The bonuses which are available at the research lab strongly influence the level of difficulty. If you notice that you have to struggle to get a better rating at certain levels, replay some older ones and purchase the bonuses early on. In that way a lot of levels will become much easier.

Level 1 – Goals: Own two 3-star bungalows.

1. Build one bungalow.
2. Build a second bungalow.
3. Upgrade both bungalows to three stars.
4. This level is more of a tutorial, and you simply have to follow the instructions.

Level 2 – Goals: Attract five tourists.

1. Build a bungalow.
2. Build two beach chairs.
3. Build another bungalow.

Level 3 – Goals: Save $60,000 , own four 3-star bungalows.

1. Purchase a bungalow.
2. Build two bungalows.
3. Purchase another bungalow.
4. Upgrade the four bungalows to 3 stars.
5. Sell one bungalow.
6. Buy a free plot.
7. Build another bungalow and upgrade it to three stars.
8. Save $60,000.

Level 4 – Goals: Weekly income of $8,000, own three 3-star bungalows, own one 3-star ice cream shop.

1. Build an ice cream shop as indicated.
2. Build two bungalows.
3. Upgrade four bungalows and the ice cream shop to 3 stars.
4. Buy two empty plots.
5. Build a beach chair and a fifth bungalow.

Level 5 – Goals: Weekly income of $12,000, attract 8 tourists, own 3-star ice cream shop.

1. Build two bungalows in the sphere of influence of the ice cream shop.
2. Upgrade the ice cream shop to 3 stars.
3. Buy a bungalow.
4. Build a bungalow.
5. Build two beach chairs.
6. Buy two empty plots.
7. Build two more bungalows.

9. Upgrade bungalows until you reach the required amount of income.

4. Upgrade the bungalows and the ice cream shop to 3 stars.

• You can take as much time as you need to find the object hidden on the screen. You are also able to skip these bonus levels.
