The Zombie Schrift, added in the 2024 Halloween Event, sits in the Legendary rarity with a 3% obtainment rate. Being a Schrift, it’s exclusive to Quincy players who have unlocked their potential by reaching Grade 2 and completing the quests given by the Statue nestled across the bridge in Wandenreich.
The quests include killing 5 Fishbone (NPC or Player), killing 1 Menos (NPC or Player), killing 1 Adjuchas (NPC or Player), and a series of player grips with 1 Shinigami Player Grip and 1 Arrancar Player Grip. At any point during the quest, you’re able to speak with the Statue again to check progress and remaining tasks. On completion, you’ll gain any Schrift at random based on its rarity and attainment percentage.
If you obtain the newly added Zombie, you’ll unlock a bunch of unique moves, both self-inflicting and devastating to opponents. The idea behind Zombie is to fill up the blood meter of your enemy to 100% and convert them into your undead slave. Doing this locks their controls, and converted players fight on your behalf. Gripping and converting players who have their Bankai/Volt/Res active when turned will stay in that mode until they eventually die.
Plus, you’re able to recall them by typing ‘Return’ in chat, forcing zombied players to return to wherever you are. A Zombie player will only obey until they perish. On death, the Zombified player returns to normal with a bruised ego.
Fighting a Zombie user isn’t easy, thanks to their numerous moves that increase your Blood Meter. In this life or zombie situation, the only real prevention method is to kill the Quincy utilising Zombie before they ensnare you. Failure results in transformation, and you’ll lose all control of your player until you die and return to normal.
