The Type Soul Vow of Sacrifice is one of four that are available! There are two ways of obtaining it, but first, let’s go over what the Vow does. We also have another Type Soul guide that discusses the Vow of Luck in more detail.

Type Soul Vow of Sacrifice

Keep in mind that you can’t use your submode when the Vow of Sacrifice is active.

What is the Vow of Sacrifice?

When activating the Vow of Sacrifice, you summon a Spirit version of yourself. Each time you perform a move in combat, the Spirit copies you and attacks the enemy again. Now, the Spirit doesn’t copy every single move, and only repeats specific moves. When the Vow of Sacrifice is on cooldown, it takes 8 seconds for it to become available to use again.

While having an extra Spirit to help you in combat is useful, the Spirit itself has lower Posture and deals less DMG in battle. You know, to make it a little bit fairer, I guess. Still, it boosts your power when fighting against enemies and deals almost double the damage.

How to Get the Vow of Sacrifice

The best way of obtaining the Vow of Sacrifice is by taking part in the Soul Wars game mode. This is a defensive battle, where you can pick from a roster of characters that are pre-built. The matches are 4v4, and the first team to get to 9 wins. You have a higher chance of getting the Vow of Sacrifice if your team wins.

Another way of getting the Vow of Sacrifice is by speaking to the Bamboo Hat Man in the maze within Ring 3 of Hell. When you find him, interact with him to start a battle. If you win the battle, he grants you a random Vow. There are 4 in total, so it’s a 1 in 4 chance.
