Type Soul Hybrids Guide

Regardless of which faction you belong to, each Hybrid lineage has the same obtainment method. What’s more, there isn’t a quest to trigger the progression, so you’re able to jump right into farming for either the Quincycar (Quincy), Vastoquin(Arrancar) or Anamoly (Soul Reaper).

Initially with the Halloween update rollout, the obtainment for each was very grind-intensive. But, with some feedback and a rework, the current Hybrid obtainment method per each lineage is the following:

• 40x Clan War Wins
  • Tales of The Past
  • King of The World
  • Thrill of The Hunt
  • Cascade of Souls
• 100x Ranked 1V1 Wins
  • Go head-to-head with another player of a similar grade and power status to test your player build and strength in a fair fight.
• 50x Battle Royale Wins
  • In the main menu, this new game mode consists of up to 30 players, with the only goal being to be the last one standing.

Of the three methods, players have the choice of one path. This means you don’t need to do each game mode and win, but choose one most suited to your preferred play style and grind it to completion! So, if you prefer Clan Wars, you’ll only need to win 40 to obtain your Hybrid and disregard the Ranked and Battle Royale. Don’t get confused either, as you cannot mix and match the obtainment methods.

It doesn’t end there though, as people idly playing these game modes might have no interest in becoming Hybrid, so an additional 25 of something sits on the requirement list. Unfortunately, the DEVs have mentioned the 25x mystery item, but refuse to share what it is leaving players to believe it’ll be either 25x Hogyoku Fragments or 25x Cybernetic Boxes for Quincy players.

What Is A Hybrid – Is It Worth It?

Based on what Testers have shared from their experience with the new hybrid races, they seem a little lacklustre considering their grind-heavy obtainment route. That said, Quincycars tend to be the favoured of the three since they’re the best balanced, and the Vastoquin isn’t as adored since it almost seems to nerf Arrancar players. But, ultimately, you’ll be able to make that decision for yourself. The Hybrid’s worth it if you think it is, and it’s all subjective to taste after all.
