Type Soul Hollow Essence

Not happy with your Partial Res skills? You can use a Hollow Essence to reset them with a simple click of a button. In particular, the M1 button on your mouse. This does not change your actual Partial Res, but instead, alters the skills that you can wield with it.

Thankfully, being defeated whilst having an unused Hollow Essence in your inventory, does not result in it being removed – some items in Type Soul do this! So, you can rest assured, that even upon defeat, you can still use your Essence.

How to Get Hollow Essence

The method of obtaining a Hollow Essence differs from the majority of other Essence types. Instead of Clan Wars or Ranked matches, there’s a certain boss you need to defeat. Even then, you’re not guaranteed to get a Hollow Essence right off the bat!

For the Hollow Essence, in particular, you need to defeat the Bawabawa boss in Hueco Mundo. As he’s a World Boss, he has a respawn time of 40 minutes. He spawns in the area with the black pond, adorned with rocks and tree branches.

Hollow Essence is a Mythic drop, so it’s certainly a rare item! Don’t be surprised if you have to fight against Bawabawa a few times before you see one drop.

Trading

As usual, you can trade for the Hollow Essence, but it may be even rarer than the Bawabawa drop. Not everyone is willing to part ways with their Mythical rarity drops, but if a player somehow has some spare Hollow Essences in their inventory, you’ll be in luck!
