The Type Soul Crafting feature is a little confusing, with tricky recipes and hardly any guidance. This guide explains where you can craft and the crafting recipes we know so far! First off, you need to unlock Hell in Type Soul before you can think about finding the Crafting NPC.

Type Soul Crafting

A new core game feature.

  • In the most recent update, you can now collect Lore Books to unlock new crafting recipes

How to Craft in Type Soul

To craft in Type Soul, you must unlock the Library in Hell and speak with the Crafting NPC. As the crafting grid opens, you can select certain items in your inventory to place onto the grid, which you can then craft with. The only problem is that the crafting recipes are not clear.

The game encourages you to experiment with different item combos in hopes that you’ll craft something worthy. Of course, many players don’t want to leave it up to chance and are looking for a list of recipes that work.

So far, we know that you can craft skill upgrades with this feature and that it is part of the obtainment method for Ancient Vasto Lorde.

Crafting Location

If you’ve been progressing through the Hell update, you may already have the Library location unlocked. If not, you need to get to Ring 3 first. After defeating the boss that rewards you with Book Fragment 5, you arrive at a maze. In this maze, you must make your way to the exit gate, all the while avoiding the woman that appears on your screen.

Each time she appears, you must remain completely still; otherwise, she will attack you. After finding the exit gate, you can walk through it to teleport to the Library! Within the library, look for the spiral staircase and head upstairs. This is where the crafting NPC is! Speak with them to open the crafting ‘table’, which is a pop-up window with a grid.

Luckily, once you gain access to this location the first time, you can instantly travel back and forth as you please by using the Special Item, ‘Library Gate‘.

Crafting Recipes

If the recipe is correct, then the name of whatever you are crafting appears in the box at the top left. Keep in mind that where you place each item on the grid matters, too.
