In its most recent update, Type Soul invited a familiar franchise crossover which added a new moveset into the game. In this Type Soul Black Flash Guide, I detail how you get this spec and what it’s capable of.

Type Soul Black Flash Guide

If you’re a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen (Like me), you’ll be glad to know the Black Flash spec takes inspiration from none other than Yujis’s iconic move from the series.

Black Flash is an Ultra Skill, unlocked using regular Skill Points and Skill Boxes. When obtained, the Black Flash (amongst other Ultra Skills) will only work when the player’s Soul Style Metre is full. Soul Style is a skill obtained via the Kido Skill Tree. The Soul Style metre increases with M1 attacks, which displays the current progress on the player’s game screen. When the metre reads as a ‘U’ on screen, it means the Soul Style is now at Ultra capacity.

How To Get Black Flash

Obtaining this Ultra Skill is similar to Essences, with two possible obtainment methods. The first is to compete in Clan Wars, which is a method the majority of players will have to take. The second method is to get lucky in the AFK World, which you can only access if you have the AFK World Ticket.

Black Flash Showcase

As this is a written guide, I sadly can’t show you the movesets of this Skill. However, I can tell you how each move performs and some extra details on its combat abilities. If you want to see it in action I recommend having a browse through YouTube.

  • Black Flash enjoys NO cooldown but will alter the metre from U to SS.
    • Only performed if the M1 combo is at ‘U’ (Ultra)
  • The Black Flash attack unleashes spitting electricity in all directions to deal direct and a bit of AoE damage.
    • Causes knockback to the user
  • Black Flash has anti-heal meaning players in a party cannot heal a Black Flash user

It seems you've stumbled upon my bio! I'm Sho, your local weeb. Off the clock I am typically watching anime, reading manga, or doing art. I think it's safe to say that all my unpaid thoughts revolve around anime... That said, watch One Piece! (Or don't I'm just a biography.)
