Once you become an Arrancar, your different evolutions have set grades. To turn into an Arrancar, you need to take your mask off if you are a Vasto Lore, Adjuchas, or Menos. Adjucars who rip their mask off are Grade 3, Menoscars are Grade 5, and Vastocars are Semi-Grade 2.
At the bottom, we have Menoscars, who are Grade 3. Next, we have Adjucars and Vastocars who are Semi-grade 2. To enhance your experience as an Arrancar, though, remember to visit your skill trees to unlock new abilities for free!

With the different Hollow forms being set at certain grades, Vastocars and Adjucars are a step ahead, as they only need to progress from Semi-grade 2 to Semi-grade 1. The best way to get from point A to B is by completing missions. This rewards you with plenty of Mission EXP, which counts towards your grade!
Reaching Grade 2 as an Arrancar allows you to choose your Kido Cero Path, but you can only pick a singular one, unless you’re a Cero Variant True Vastocar, as they can choose two. You can reset your path with a Cero Pill! These paths are found in the Kido skill tree! There are currently five different paths to select from:
As well as your Cero Path, you can also unlock your Partial Res at Grade 2 by speaking to the Harribel NPC at the Colosseum in Hueco Mundo. Afterwards, visit the lab in Espada Castle to find a pink orb.
You are then given an item, which teleports you when you click it. You are teleported to an obby, which you have to complete. At the end, a black orb appears, which you can interact with to unlock your Partial Res. We have a full guide on unlocking your Partial Res!

To add to your Arrancar progression, unlocking stronger weapons is a must! If you’re not happy with your current weapon, you can use a Hollow Box to obtain a new one. However, all weapons have drop rates, so there’s a chance you’ll have to open multiple before you get the weapon you want. Purchase a Hollow Box from Karakura Town shops by spending 40K Kan, or get luck when competing in raids!
Once you get your Res, you can start the process of evolving into the Segunda Etapa form – learn more with our Type Soul Segunda guide. Revisit the location where you unlocked your Res and click on the blade to unlock a quest. You are required to successfully grip 20 players who are using Volt, Bankai, or Res. You can only take part in this quest if you are a Vastocar!
