If you’re just starting out with the game, then there’s definitely going to be something here that’ll help you out. And if you’ve been playing for a while, well, there’s nothing wrong with trying to improve your skills, right? Here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Touchgrind Scooter.
The challenges aren’t just a great way to get new XP, they teach you what’s possible in Touchgrind Scooter. They’ll push you to try ever-more difficult tricks, and help you get to grips with what you can pull off in different parts of the track. The more challenges you complete, the better you’re going to get.
Always be on the lookout for new lines in the levels. Some of them are pretty obvious, but others are better hidden. Use the freestyle mode to explore and find out where the most points can be gained. You should aim to know the levels like the back of your hand, or the back of your scooter, whatevs.
It can sometimes be tempting to try and go a little bit further, adding in another flip or barspin to get more points. But when it goes wrong, you’re going to end up losing your multiplier, which means you’re not going to be racking up massive scores. Trick whenever you can, but play up to the limit, never past it.
Don’t just roll off the end of the grinds, try and jump off them. This lets you add an extra trick to your line, and will see your points rocketing up. Some grinds end in dead ends as well, so jumping off is the only way to ensure that you’re getting any points at all. Swipe left or right with two fingers to dismount.
One of the greatest untapped trick pools comes in the shape of inverted tricks. These are when you flip your scooter upside down, catch it, add in a barspin or tailwhip, and then flip it back the right way before you land. They’re tricky to get right, but the additional tricks will score you massive points and push up your multiplier.
Fakie is one of the most difficult things in the game, but adding it into your repertoire can get you huge scores. Try going fakie as you’re coming up to a jump, pulling off some tricks, landing fakie, and then flipping back out. It’s going to take a while to master it, but if you want to be among the best you’re going to have to.
