Tornado: The Secret of the Magic Cave – Game Introduction

Welcome to the Tornado: The Secret of the Magic Cave walkthrough on Gamezebo. Tornado: The Secret of the Magic Cave is an interactive Hidden Object game played on PC, created by QuickClick and available at BigFish Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide for how to complete Tornado: The Secret of the Magic Cave.

General Information

• Create your profile name with up to 31 characters (letters, numbers and symbols). Click on “Click Here,” just above your profile name, to create or delete up to 9 profiles.
• Click on Game Settings to turn Full Screen, Widescreen Correction and Custom Cursors on or off. Adjust the Cursor Speed, Total Volume, Music, Sounds and Background levels up or down. Adjust the Brightness by clicking and dragging the right, tasseled cord, up or down.
• If you don’t like the adjustments you made, in Options, click on Reset to return everything to the game defaults.
• Click on Credits to view information about the developing team.
• Click on Start to begin your game or Exit to quit.
• When your game starts, you’ll have the option of using a Tutorial. Click the Box if you don’t care to continue the Tutorial.
• When you begin a game, you can choose Easy (the Hint and Skip buttons charge in 90 seconds – 1 minute, 30 seconds) or Hard (the Hint and Skip buttons charge in 135 seconds – 2 minutes, 15 seconds) mode. If you use the Hint button, and the clue is to move to another location, it won’t discharge.
• The normal cursor is a Diagonal Arrow. If you can interact with something, the cursor will change to an Arrow with Gears. The cursor will change to a Compass when you can move to a new location. Areas you can zoom into will show a Magnifying Glass.
• Click on an object/area to zoom, open or bring up its Tool Wheel. Collect the items and the location will close.
• Click to pick up items, move them to the Tool Wheel and then click to add them. The correct location, in the Tool Wheel, will expand when you’re over middle of the Tool Wheel or the correct spot for that item. Once all spots are filled, the Tool Wheel will automatically close.
• If you hover an item over an object you can interact with, its Tool Wheel will temporarily open. When you move your cursor away, it will close. Click on an object to lock open its Tool Wheel. Items that you need to use elsewhere will go into your Inventory, at the lower left.
• Move your cursor around the scene to find areas and items to interact. There is no mis-click penalty.
• New areas will highlight once current tasks are complete. Occasionally, you’ll need to complete portions of specific tasks, or exhaust dialogs, before you can progress.
• To progress through dialogs, click anywhere until they’re complete. During dialogs, you won’t have access to the Menu, Hint button or Inventory.

Gameplay Tips

• Adjusting the Total Volume and Brightness affects your entire system until you either change it, or exit the game. If you wish to hear your system sounds, adjust the Music, Sounds and Background sliders and leave the Total Volume slider alone.
• If your system graphics are too bright (after minimizing the game), restore the game and adjust the Brightness level, or exit the game, to return it to normal.
• If you can’t find something, and your Hint button hasn’t recharged, you’ll eventually get a highlight for a needed item.
• Opening all the available Tool Wheels may hide some items you need. It’s best to work on them individually.
• Not all Tool Wheel items will be available in the current scene. Change locations to collect any missing items.
• When zoomed into certain areas, click on the green exclamation point (“!”), in the red circle at the bottom of the task window, for instructions. Click on the pink button, at the upper right corner, to close the task window.
• If you pick up something, then change your mind, simply right click and the object will return to its original location.

Walkthrough

Click on Start and watch the opening movie.

Chapter 1

Click on the Firewood (yellow) and use it on the Fireplace (1), click on the Switch (2) and turn on the Fan (3) and then click on the Cabinet (4).

Click on the Camera (cyan); collect the items for its Tool Wheel. Repeat this for the Backpack (green) and then the Crate (yellow). Click on the Umbrella to close it and then click on it to collect it for the Crate. Click on the Stairs (blue) to change locations.

Click on the Wicker Hamper (1), the Small Drawers (2), the Door (3), the Curtains (4) and the Large Drawer (5).

Collect the items for the Crate (yellow) downstairs, click on the Tackle Box (cyan) and collect the items for its Tool Wheel, and then collect the Playing Cards that were underneath the Tackle Box (1) and on the left Window Sill (2). Click on the Floor (blue) to return downstairs.

Click on the Crate (yellow), add the inventory items and then click on the Doorway (blue) to change locations.

Click on the Armoire (1), Train (2), Teddy Bear (3) and the Large Drawer (4). Collect the Key (green), use it on the Chest (5) and then click on the Small Drawer (6).

Click on the Backpack (cyan), collect the items for its Tool Wheel and the items for the Crate (yellow) downstairs and then click on the Chest (blue).

Collect the remaining items for the Backpack (cyan) and the Crate (yellow).

Use the remaining items on the Backpack and then click on the Floor (blue) to return to the previous room.

Use the Playing Cards on the Crate and then click on the Door (blue) to go outside.

Collect the Hammer (magenta) and use it on the Toolbox (1), collect the 2 Wrenches (cyan), 2 Chisels (yellow) and Screwdriver (green) and then click on the Bed of the Truck (2).

Collect the 2 Screwdrivers (green), Wrench (cyan), click on the Red Tool box (1) and the Black Toolbox (2) and then collect the Pliers (orange) and the Drill (magenta) and then click under the Stairs (3).

Collect the 2 Wrenches (cyan), Screwdriver (green), 2 Pliers (orange) and the Chisel (yellow).

Use all the inventory items on the Toolbox (1), collect the Keys (underneath the Toolbox), use them on the Truck Door (2) and then click on the interior to zoom in.

Click on the Glove Box (1), click on the First Aid Kit (2) and then collect the items.

Chapter 2

Collect the Crowbar (yellow) and use it on the Glass (1 – click 2 times, 2 – click 3 times, 3 – click 2 times).

Collect the First Aid Items (cyan), collect the Batteries (green), click on the Upper (1) and Lower (2) Cabinets, collect the Screwdriver (red), Hatchet (orange) and Machete (blue), use the Crowbar (yellow) on the Door (3) and then exit the Trailer.

Click on the Tail Light (1), use the Screwdriver (red) on each of the 4 Screws and then collect the Bulb (green). Return to the Trailer and use the Bulb on the Flashlight. Return outside, use the Hatchet (orange) on the Tree (4 – click 2 times), use the Machete (blue) on the Vines (5 – click 3 times) and then enter the Cave (6).

Collect 7 Stones and place them in the Campfire Ring (brown).

Collect 7 Branches (cyan) and use them in Campfire (brown).

Collect the Plank (yellow), Twig (cyan), Rope (red) and Twig (green) and use them on the Campfire (brown). Return to the Trailer.

Return outside and collect the Cooking Pot (yellow), 2 Forked Sticks (red), a Long Pole (green) and 7 pieces of Firewood (cyan). Return to the Cave (blue), use them on the Campfire and then return outside.

Collect the Bottle (yellow) and Bread (red) and then enter the Trailer (blue).

Collect the cutting board (green), 3 Bottles (yellow), Knife (cyan), Cheese (purple), Plate (white), Sausage (orange), Bread (light blue) and Butter (light red). Return outside (blue) and continue into the Cave.

Use all the inventory items (yellow) on the Pot/Campfire Area (1) and click on the Basket (2) to Make Sandwiches. When complete, exit the Cave (3).

Make Sandwiches: Click on the Bread (light blue), click on the Cutting Board (blue), use the Knife (cyan) on the Bread and use the Bread Slices on the Plate (red). Repeat with the Cheese (purple), Sausage (orange) and Butter (light red). Use the Jar Opener (green) on the Jar of Pickles (magenta) and repeat as for the other items. Note: it doesn’t matter what order you use the items…although I think you should probably start with the Bread. Note: after you slice the Bread and put the slices on the plate, it doesn’t matter what order you complete the rest of the puzzle.

Enter the Path (1) and then click on the area between the Statues (2).

Click on all the Leaves, or enough to uncover all 6 hidden Symbols – there should be . Click on a Symbol and then place it in the proper Slot.

Place 3 Gold Balls (cyan) into each Hole (yellow).

Try to enter the Cave, click on the area between the Statues (1), collect the Mushrooms and Fungus (magenta), exit the area and collect the Mushrooms and Fungi (magenta), feed them to the Boars (2) and then enter the Cave (3). Note: you should have collected and fed 15 Mushrooms and Fungi, including the 3 in Inventory, to the Boars.

Chapter 3

Click on each section to rotate it into the correct orientation. There are 10 octagonal sections (yellow), 10 small, circular sections (white), 1 medium, circular section (cyan) an interior cross-shaped section (green – you can click on any one green section; you don’t need to click on all of them) and a large, exterior, circular section (magenta – click anywhere in this section to rotate it). Click on the right side of a section to rotate it clockwise and on the left side to rotate it counter-clockwise.

Collect the Medallion (green) and move it over the entire Cave. When you find a Symbol (yellow), click on it; there are 15 in the Cave. When you’re finished, return outside (blue).

Move the Medallion over the entire area. When you find a Symbol (yellow), click on it. There are 14; when you’re finished, click on the area between the Statues (blue).

Assemble the Keys: click on a piece and place it in one of the indentations. Use the Images in the 4 Corners (green) to construct the Keys. When complete, return to the Cave.

Use the Keys in the correct slots (green), collect the Sun Key (yellow) and place it in its slot, use the Stick (white) on each of the Dirt Mounds, collect the Gems (red) and use them in the Eyes of 3 of the Keys. Complete the puzzle (magenta – there are 4 rings; all you need to do is click to rotate them into position. The solution is shown), use the Medallion (cyan) in the slot that appears after you complete the puzzle and then exit this part of the Cave (blue).

Rune Bridge Puzzle: collect each Rune, place it in the Pedestal (white) and then click on each occurrence of the Rune. You’ll complete each Rune, separately; at the completion of each stage, part of the bridge across the chasm will rise. Complete Rune 1 (orange), Rune 2 (magenta), place both of the last Runes (medium blue) in the Pedestal and then complete both of them. Click to cross the Bridge (blue).

Exit to the outside, collect the 9 pieces of the Door Lock (green) and then return to the inside.

Collect the 14 pieces of the Door Lock (green), the 2 Bear Heads (yellow), use the Bear Heads in the Indentations, collect the remaining 2 pieces of the Door Lock and then use the pieces in the Door Lock (magenta).

Door Lock Puzzle: Click and drag each piece of the Door Lock to the proper position and then click to place them, jigsaw fashion. The pieces will automatically orient when you hover over the correct size spot; click to place them. Once all the pieces are placed, move them around until you complete the image. The key to solving the puzzle may be to place the edge pieces first, and then move them until they’re correct. From there, work on each ring, from the outside to the inside. If you’ve placed all the pieces, simply click on one, then another, for them to exchange places. Note the images (cyan) at each side of the puzzle; combined they form the solution. When complete, enter the Doorway.

Use the Blue Crystal on the Altar (green), collect and use the 5 pieces of Rope (magenta) and 3 Sticks (yellow) on the Broken Staircase (cyan).

Use the Long Sticks (yellow) on the Floor (1), use the Hatchet (green) on the rightmost Stick (2), use the 5 Small Sticks on the Long Sticks (3), use the 5 pieces of Rope (magenta) on each rung of the Ladder (4) and then click to cross the Stairs.

Chapter 4

Collect and use the Small Idols (cyan) on the Pedestals (1), use the Hatchet (green) on the 2 Large Pots (2), collect and use the 2 Blue Gems (yellow) on the Idol’s Eyes (3) and then collect and use the Animal Fetishes (magenta) on the Altar (4). Note: you can place any of the Small Idols on any of the Pedestals, in any order you wish.

Animal Puzzle: switch the Animal Fetishes so that like pairs are directly across from each other. Click on one and then click on another to switch places. Once placed correctly, the eyes will light up and energy will arc between them.

Idol Puzzle: rotate the 4 rings to form the image. Clicking on the right side of a ring will rotate it clockwise; clicking on the left side will rotate it counter clockwise. When complete, click on the Doorway that opens on the left.

Return to the previous room, collect the 4 Drums (green) and then click on the Doorway (blue).

Collect the remaining 7 Drums (green) and use them, and the 4 in Inventory, on the Hanging Drum (yellow).

Drum Minigame: click on the Drumstick (cyan) and use it on each Drum (yellow), repeating the previous sequence. You’ll play 4 rounds of sequences of 3, 4, 5 and 6. The solution is the same each time you play. If you are hearing impaired, you will easily be able to complete this puzzle. Each Drum in the sequence pulses and highlights; just watch the sequences and repeat them.

Use the Magical Timbrel to locate the 4 Pieces of Totem (yellow) and then click on the Doorway (blue) to exit.

Use the Magical Timbrel to locate the 5 Pieces of Totem (yellow) and then click on the Doorway (blue) to exit.

Use the Magical Timbrel to locate the 5 Pieces of Totem (yellow) and then use all the Totem Pieces on the Central Pedestal (green).

Totem Puzzles: reconstruct the Totems by clicking and dragging each piece, from the center, (green) into position and then clicking to place them. When completed, click on the Hole (blue), underneath the Totem Pieces, to enter.

Chapter 5

Collect and use the 4 Loads of Dynamite (green) on the Rubble (1) and then collect and use the 6 Detonator Parts (yellow) on the Detonator (2).

Use the Screwdriver (green) on each of the 4 Screws (1) and use the Coil (magenta) and the Spring (cyan) inside the Detonator Box (2).

Use the Knife (yellow) on the ends of each of the 2 Wires, click on them to connect them and then use the Detonator Plunger (white) on the top. Use the Screws in the 4 Holes and use the Screwdriver on each Screw (4).

Click on the Rubble (1) to connect the Wiring to the Detonator. Click on the Wires (2) to rotate them so all 4 colors (Red, Blue, Yellow and Green) are connected (3). Wires rotate clockwise, only. When complete, click on the Detonator Plunger (4).

Enter the Mine (1), continue to the Generator Room (2), click on the right (3) and return to the Storage Room (4).

Click on the Coil (1) and collect the Coupling (magenta). Click on the Fuel Can (2) and collect the Wheel (yellow). Click on the Crate (3) and collect the Axle (green) and Wheel (yellow).

Collect and use the 2 Wheels (yellow), Axle (green), Frame (cyan) and 3 Wooden Planks (orange) on the Track (4) and then use the 2 Wheels, Coupling and Axle, from Inventory, on the Track.

Click on the Crowbar (red), use it on the Control Module (5) and then click on the Crowbar, again, to add it to Inventory. Return to the Generator Room (6).

Collect and use the 3 Gears (yellow), Chain (magenta), Lever (green) and Shaft (cyan) on the Winch (1). Collect the Hook (red), return to the Storage Room (2) use the Hook on the Chain (3) on the track and then click on the Hook to connect it to the Cart. Return to the Generator Room.

Click on the Winch Lever (green) 3 times, use the Crowbar (red) on the Control Module (1), use the Screwdriver (magenta) on the Control Panel (2), remove the old Safety Locks (3 – click on them twice), collect the 3 new Safety Locks (yellow), including 1 in the Storage Room (4) and use them in the Control Panel (5).

Collect and use the Tape (yellow), Pliers (magenta), and Knife (green) on the Control Module (1), collect the Wire Strippers (cyan) and then return to the Storage Room (2).

Click on the Crate (1) and collect the Fuel Can (green). Click on the Large Coil (2), use the Wire Strippers (cyan) on the Wire (yellow) and click on it to add it to Inventory. Return to the Generator Room (3).

Use the Fuel Can (green) and Wires (yellow) on the Control Module (1). Complete the Circuit Puzzle and then return to the Storage Room (2).

Circuit Puzzle: the object is to turn on all the lights by moving the Wires into their correct terminals. Click on a Wire to move it to the next terminal and click again to move it to another terminal.

Click on the Light Switch (green) and then enter the Engine Room (white).

Collect and use the Pipe Wrench (magenta) and 5 Axles (cyan) on the Motor (1), collect the 3 Gears (green) and then return to the Storage Room (2).

Collect the 3 Hex Nuts (yellow), Oil Can (cyan) and 3 Gears (green). Click on the Crate (1) and collect the 3 Hex Nuts and the Open-end Wrench (magenta). Click on the Large Coil (2), collect the last Hex Nut and then return to the Engine Room (3).

Gear Puzzle: Place the 6 Axles in the Holes (1), place the Gears on the Axles (2) and then click the Lever (3).

Chapter 6

Collect the Crowbar (cyan), click on the Mine Door (1) and then use the Crowbar to remove all the Nails (3).

Collect and use the Hard Hat (yellow), Gas Mask (red), Canteen (green), Canister (cyan), Pickaxe (magenta) Boots (purple) and Radio (blue) on the Mine Door (white). Click on the Mine Door, return outside and then click on the Water Wheel (2).

Click on all the Leaves and the 3 Branches (yellow) to clear them away (1). Click on the 2 Planks (cyan) and click on the 3 Boulders (green) and place them on the left (light green) side (2 – there are 3 Boulders; the third is behind the largest one). Exit the Water Wheel and click on the Mine Cart (3). Collect the Axe (magenta) and return to the Water Wheel (4).

Use the Axe (magenta) on the Log and click twice. Collect and use the 2 Brackets (yellow) and 1 Cross Piece (cyan) on the Water Wheel (white) and then return to the Mine Cart.

Use the Crowbar (red) on 1 Cross Piece (cyan), collect the other, the Hammer (green) and 6 Nails (yellow), exit the Mine Cart (1), pick up the last Cross Piece (2) and then return to the Water Wheel.

Use the Inventory (cyan) items on the Water Wheel (white) and then return to the Mine.

Collect and use the 4 Parts on the Drilling Machine (1), click on the Locker (2), collect 2 more Parts, exit the Mine, collect 1 Part from the Water Wheel (3) return to the Mining Cart, collect the last Part (4) and then return to the Mine and use the remaining Parts on the Drilling Machine.

Collect and use the 6 Fuses (yellow) on the Power Supply (1), including 2 inside the Locker (2).

Fuse Puzzle: the object is to connect 2 of the Fuses in the bottom row to the 2 Lower Terminals. From the connected Fuses, the current needs to pass through rest of the Fuses so there’s a continuous circuit. Click on a Fuse to rotate it clockwise. The following screenshot shows which ends, of which Fuses, are connected to what.

Mining Car Puzzle: the object is to move the Mining Carts out of the way in order to move the Drilling Machine (magenta) off the Grate (to the Arrow). The Mining Carts are all in pairs or trios and must be moved as a unit. Visualizing the Mining Carts as whole units may make it easier to solve.

Click on the following for the video solution; the solution is the same each time you play.

Use the Crowbar (red) on the Grate (white) and enter through the open Grate.

Click on a Log Pole and place it in the location with the corresponding, lighter color. Exit up the Ladder (white).

Collect and use the Rope (yellow), Carabiner (green), Hammer (magenta) and Pulley (cyan) on the Hole (1). Exit up the Stairs (2), return outside and collect the Sling (blue) from the Mining Cart (3) and the Belt (orange) from the top of the Elevator (4). Return to the Hole and use the remaining items.
