Game Introduction – Tiny Tower

Tiny Tower is a tower building simulation game from NimbleBit for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Given a bit of money and unlimited potential, it’s up to you to build your very own pixel tower however you desire. Building this tower can be a bit complex, but with Gamezebo’s quick start guide you’ll be up and running in no time with a tower that’s a bit more than just tiny.

Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

• To get started in playing Tiny Tower, you’ll first need to download the game on your device by clicking on the “Play Now” button at the top of this screen.
• Once the game has finished downloaded, you can launch it by finding the icon labeled “Tiny Tower” on the home screen of your device and tapping on it.
• Upon your first launch of the game, you will be given a short tutorial designed to show you how to get started with the game. Knowing the ropes is, after all, the best way to build an awesome tower.
• First off, you will be asked if you have a Game Center account to get started. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one by going into the Game Center app that can be found on your home screen. You will be asked for your iTunes account password and to create a nickname upon sign-up.

Building Your Tower

• Now you will need to start building your tower. Above the lobby is a construction site with a crane and a billboard that reads “Build Floor 600 Coins”.
• Tap the billboard to be given a prompt asking you if you’re sure you want to build the second floor. Tap Yes and the second floor is now ready. For doing so, you also will receive an additional Tower Buck. This goes for every time you build a new floor.
• Now, a floor is great but this one is still empty. Tap on the empty floor to be shown a list of floor types that you can convert it to. As is this is the start of the game, the only floor type the game will allow your second floor to be is residential. Tap on it to continue.
• Normally, you’d have to wait for construction to finish (can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours) but you can speed it up using a Tower Buck. Tap on the site, and then tap the Hurry button to spend a buck and finish it.

• This process works for any additional floors you want to add to your tower. The important part is earning enough money to add them. We’ll discuss the floor types a bit later.

Elevators

• Elevators play an important role in the proper running of any tower, and in Tiny Tower, they are especially important.
• In the lobby, you will occasionally find a straggler looking for a hand to take them to a certain floor.

• To operate the elevator, tap the Lobby, then tap the Arrow Up or Arrow Down buttons to operate the elevator as necessary. Once you have reached the floor with the elevator, allow the elevator to drop back down and stop at the floor. The elevator will then return to the lobby automatically.
• If you manage to deliver the rider fast enough, you will receive a tip for your good deed. Sometimes, they may even tip you with a Tower Buck!
• VIPs will also occasionally show up in the elevator. When you tap on one, you will be given the reason they are there and what they will do to a certain floor. VIPs can do such things as speeding up delivery times, speeding up construction time or buying all of a certain product at a store. Just take them to the floor that you want their power to be used on and the rest is done automatically.

Stores and Stock

• On top of allowing just residents to inhabit your tower, you can also have stores, restaurants and other types of merchants as well. These floor types are broken up into five categories: Residential, Recreation, Service, Food, and Retail.

• When you are looking to add a business to a floor, you will be shown a menu with all the different options available along with the demand for each. Be sure to pick the business that is in the most demand to satisfy those living in your tower.
• Once construction completes on any of the business you have built, you can start hiring employees and ordering products to sell.

• Tap on the newly created business, and then tap on the Hire button. You will now be shown every tenant living in your tower. Tap on any one of them to hire them in your shop. Under each of their names, you will see their employment status. To the right, you will see their skills and employment wish. Each tenant has individual skills that determine how well he or she does their jobs. Essentially, you will want to hire each person to how well they will be able to do their jobs. For example: If I only have a 1 rating for food, you probably don’t want to hire me to work in your frozen yogurt store. However, I may have a 9 rating in recreation so hiring me at your arcade would be ideal.
• A person’s employment wish is the ultimate goal for each of them, and is simply the absolute place they would like to work. Placing a person in the job they wish for will result in 2X stock for a product in the store when it is restocked.

• After you have hired three tenants to work in the shop, you can restock any of the products shown for the store by tapping on them. Lower quality products will take less time to be delivered than high quality items, but they sell for a lot less as well. You can speed up the delivery process with a Tower Buck or two if you feel it’s necessary.
• Once the products have been delivered, you can open the store by tapping the open box icon in the shop. At that time, you can also start re-stocking the store if you need to with other types of products.
