Not much of a surprise, since you’re just playing as a human who’s mode of take off usually involves jumping off something high and hoping for the best.
Of course, hoping for the best isn’t the best way to get the best scores, so we thought it was a good idea to write up a guide to help you out. We’ve played a decent amount of Time to Fly and discovered what we think are the best strategies to inch you closer to the finish line with every jump.
It doesn’t matter if you’re just approaching the first ledge or you’ve already shattered every bone in your body leaping off a train – there’s going to be something here to help you out. These are, after all, the best hints, tips and cheats for Try to Fly.
Upgrading is really the only way you’re going to progress in the game. Whenever you’ve got cash, you should spend it on increasing your stats. Make sure you spend some on your bonus as well, since that’s going to earn you more cash, which you can spend on more upgrades.
Landings are great ways to get some extra coins. When you’re falling towards the ground, try swiping the screen left or right. This is going to break more of your bones, and that’s going to get you some more money. Only do this when you’re not going to reach your goal, though.
Keep your finger pushed down on the screen once you’ve run off the end of the ramp. Letting go will put you into a dive, which isn’t that much help if you’re trying to get as far as you can. Use the dive when you’re going to overshoot the goal, or when you want a dramatic landing.

Sometimes your best bet for finishing a level is to watch a video to increase your earnings. It’s annoying, but it keeps things from getting too grindy. When you’re sick of failing, watch a video to get a cash boost and you’ll find yourself finishing the level pretty easily, and you’ll have a decent head start on the next one.
