Whenever you’ve got enough cash to spend on upgrading your skills, you should do it. Whether it’s adding more men to your team or increasing the amount you earn as you play, it’s going to be well worth your while to get tougher.
When you’re heading towards a gate, do some quick math to figure out which of the two options you should be aiming for. The one with the biggest numerical value on it might seem the most tempting, but multiplication is often more rewarding than addition.
Don’t forget to add bosses to your team when you’re upgrading. These are giant characters who can take more damage than regular soldiers.
