? This walkthrough will cover the game for the PC, iPhone, and iPad. Screen shots are shown from the PC version of the game.
? The iPhone and iPad versions are associated with Game Center and you can complete achievements associated with the game there once you are registered for a free account.
? Once you load the game you can tap on “Options” to control the volume of the game’s sound and sound effects. You can also control the brightness and it is recommended that you set the brightness as high as possible to help you see the hidden objects easier.
? Enter your name to get started. You can save up to three different games at once.
Game Elements
? Here you will see the various elements in the game and what they mean.
? You can always click or tap on the “X” at the bottom of the screen to quit or the green arrow button to move to the previous screen.
? Mini games have brief instructions and the games can be skipped if you do not want to do them without penalty.
? A. Inventory – Whenever you come across an item you will need to act upon another item it will be placed here in the film canister that expands to show your inventory when you click on it. You will need to click on the item you want to act upon first, then click on the item in your inventory you wish to use.
? B. Objective Activated – When you are in mini game mode this button will be available once the mini game has been active for one minute. If you click on this it will change your mini game to an easier version. In some cases you will be awarded points if you click on this button which will be explained to you in the game.
? C. Zoom in or Out – This button will zoom the screen in or out one time.
? D. Menu/Pause – Click here to pause the game or if you want to go to the main menu to exit the game. Your game will be saved at its last saved point. (You will see the engagement ring screen each time the game saves.)
? E. Hint button – This is your hint button explained in the next section.
Hints
? You are given a maximum of six hints if you get stuck on a hidden object scene. Hints do not work for the mini games.
? Click on the button at the bottom left of the screen and a white circular spinning effect will appear around the answer. This effect is very short so be sure you are watching for it.
? Once you use a hint you will notice a red dotted line surrounding the button. This is the timer that must allow at least thirty seconds before it is ready to let you use another hint. The red line turns green when you can use another hint.
? How to get more hints – To get more hints look for gold stars hidden anywhere in the scene and click on them.
? Note – If you are playing in regular mode the star gives you one additional hint. If you are playing in a timed mode, the star will reward you with more time to play your level.
Click Penalty
? If you click randomly on the screen several times the screen will fade to brown and lock up for a few moments rendering it inactive. Be sure to space a few seconds between clicks.
? Frequently you will see what are called “Highlight Circles” on objects in a hidden object scene.
? If you see one of these circles click on it and the item behind it will disappear.
? Sometimes you will see this circle when you need to click on an item to act upon it using an item in your inventory.
? Tip – Whenever you start a new hidden object scene scan the scene first for these circles to remove obstacles. This will make it easier to find hidden objects.
? There are several different types of mini games scattered throughout the storyline.
? You have the option after one minute to click on the light bulb icon and make it easier.
? If you decide you can’t or don’t want to solve it after it is active for three minutes the skip button will activate and you can choose to skip the puzzle. The game will proceed as if you completed it correctly.
? A. Invert puzzle pieces – If you want to invert your puzzle pieces click on this button.
? B. Vertical or horizontal movement – Click on this button to allow puzzle pieces to move vertically or horizontally.
? C. Simplify puzzle – After a puzzle is active for one minute this button will turn on. Click on it to simplify a puzzle.
? D. Reset puzzle – Click on this symbol to reset the puzzle pieces.
? E. Quit puzzle – You can click on this button once the puzzle has been active for three minutes.
? The object of the game is to find the hidden objects shown at the bottom of the screen either in text form or picture form.
? When you locate an item click on it and it will disappear along with the description along the bottom of the screen.
? Important! – When a screen loads in the PC version and you see the screen briefly shake side to side, this indicates that you must click your left mouse button and hold it down while dragging the scene left to right or up and down. It will be critical you do this or you will not be able to find many objects.
? Tip – When you start a new hidden object scene first look for highlight circles to remove items and then scroll the screen slowly from left to right to expose more items.
? The items in the scene are in logical places. You won’t find items hidden in other items you will find items in areas you would expect to see them.
? Storyline – The game will have many storyline frames where you can read along to see what is happening and to guide you in some of the mini games. You can click on the green arrow to progress to the next screen.
? Here you will have a step by step walkthrough of the game including the mini game puzzles with solutions to all.
? Hidden objects are circled to help you find them. They are always in the same place so if you play the game again you may find them easier.
? Note that the solutions for the mini games are just examples as they may differ from game to game and you may simplify the puzzle if it is too difficult and only the more difficult puzzle solutions are shown in this walkthrough.
? Storyline – Here we meet Lois reporter for “People Mag” who has been given the assignment to write an article and take pictures of Cathy and Edward royalty from London that have just married and are coming to New York to spend a few days of their honeymoon. Lois needs to learn more about the couple so she gathers magazines to do research.
? Objective – Find 20 Magazines.
? The magazines are circled above.
? Once all the magazines are collected click on the map of Manhattan highlighted with the circle.
? You will now be taken to a map of Manhattan where Lois is trying to decide by deduction where Cathy and Edward are staying.
? The hints are scrolling along the bottom of the screen in a loop.
? You are to click on the hotels on the map to remove them based on the clues given.
? Clue 1 – 10 hotels that are far away from Central Park as Cathy likes to go jogging every morning. (Delete all hotels far from Central Park)
? Solution for clue 1 is marked with a red “X”.
? Clue 2 – 3 Hotels Prince Edward does not like to stay in hotels on the Upper East side.
? Solution for clue 2 is marked with a blue “X”
? Clue 3 – 6 Members of the Royal family never stay in hotels with less than a five star rating.

? Clue 4 – “Cathy insists on a swimming pool with a view of the park”

? The hotel left at the end is circled in yellow. This is where Cathy and Edward are staying.
? Storyline – Lois needs to collect equipment then go to the hotel.
? Locate the following items.

? Click on one piece then on another and they will switch places.
? You can skip this puzzle if you wish.

? Click on the 2 suitcases with highlight circles first to remove them.

? Examine the key rack shown with the highlight circle to trigger the mini game.
? Mini Game – Here you will arrange the keys in the correct order.
? Use the pictures on the side to see how you are to place them.

? Take the room key from the rack.
? Click on the arrow to go up the stairs.
? Locate the 21 roses in the scene.

? Click on the key and take it into your inventory.
? Click on the door then on the key in inventory to open it.
? Note- you will now have your first screen that requires you to click your left mouse button and drag the scene to the right or left to see all of it. This is known as “Parallaxe Mode”
? You are now inside the couple’s hotel room.
? Locate the hidden objects located at the bottom of the screen.

? Safe Remove the picture on the far right wall to expose the safe.

? Note – The second image show the screen shifted to the right to identify those items. Be sure you move all the way to the left and right of the scene or you will miss items.
? Once you locate all items look to the bed and you will see a circle there. Click to remove curtain, then click on pillow to pick up the envelope and read the note.
? You will now see the ransom note. Click on the green button to leave the scene.
? Next click on the green button in the hotel room to leave.
? Storyline – Lois talks to her Chief and learns Cathybhas been kidnapped. An FBI agent arrives and she gives it to him and he arrests her for questioning.
? He takes her into the station and questions her.
? You will now have a multiple choice type quiz which will see if you remember what the bodyguard looked like. click on one of the three choices.
? The correct responses are shown here, but if you get it wrong it just changes the FBI agent’s responses.
? Question 1 – “You were the only journalist to find out where the Princess was going to stay. Who tipped you off?
? Answer 1 – “My Chief gave me a hint and I worked it out for myself”
? Question 2 – “How did you get into the suite when there was security present?”
? Answer 2 – “Yes, there was a security guard from Hexon Security”
? Question 3 – “When we arrived, there was no one guarding the suite, how do you explain that?”
? Answer 3 – “He’s involved in the abduction.”
? Question 4 – “We have a few witness accounts, but they’re very vague. Maybe you could describe this individual in detail?”
? Answer 4 – “I’ll do my best.”
? Question 5 – “All the guests witness accounts that we’ve got talk about a white man, do you remember what color hair he had?”

? Question 6 – “How old was he?”

? Here you are given a mini game where you must ID the man by eliminating those that do not fit the description.
? 1. 6 people – The suspect is not a woman. Click on all women shown in pink above.
? 2. 18 people – The suspect has neither a beard or moustache. Eliminate all with facial hair. Shown marked out in blue above.
? 3. 10 people – The suspect wears glasses. Mark out those not wearing glasses Shown marked out with green above.
? 4. 4 people – The suspect is bald. Mark out anyone left that is not bald Shown marked out by yellow above.
? The last person remaining is the suspect shown circled in red above.
? Now you will see a newspaper with letters cut out. You are to place the letters from the ransom note into the paper to see if they match.

? Scan the scene from left to right to see all objects.
? Note – On the far right you will need to remove another obstacle to find one of the items listed.

? Mini Game – Here you will help Madison with the shipping schedule.
? This puzzle is very easy. Simply list items in numerical order in row one, alphabetical order in row two, and roman numeral order in row three. Note the colors also match when correct.
? Click on the item you wish to move then on the area you wish to move it to and it will switch places with water is in the way.

? When upstairs place security pass on table. To do this click on table first then when inventory menu expands click on the security pass to place it.
? Locate 8 video cameras and 12 microphones
? You will need to click on the vase under the table to remove it first. There is a camera behind it.

? Click on green button to enter room when it appears.
? After talking to Prince Edward, locate 15 electronic components in scene.
? You will need to scan left to right to find all of them.
? Mini Game – Now you must repair Cathy’s telephone circuit board.
? Start in the lower right corner and click the dial tonturn it until the dial matches the two green dots on the brown connector box. Now you will have to match all the dials in this manner until they are all connected.

? Click on the purse in the next scene.
? Sort through the 20 sets of numbers in the purse.
? Eliminate any number that appears more than once. These are shown color coded in image above.
? The four numbers left are circled. The password is “1982”. The year of Edward’s birth.

? This is another click and shoot mini game played exactly like the other one except in a new location. This game is a little harder than the other one.
? Click on the FBI agents to remove them and avoid clicking on any of the innocent bystanders that appear.

? 20 point deduction for hitting innocent bystanders
? Play to 300 points are earned.
? If you are successful you will earn either 2 free clues or additional playing time depending on your game mode.

? Click on quarter to add to inventory.
? Click to dial number.
? Take piece of paper on phone.
? Locate the Chinese symbols as they appear at the bottom of the scene.
? Once you have them completed, this will trigger a mini game.
? Match 3 game – Match 3 of any color. The more matches the better your score.
? Click on a square then on the one you want to switch places with. Anytime three or more of the same colors form a row you will earn points.
? Play until you reach a score of 200 points.
? When finished go inside Chinese restaurant.
? The Chinese chef will give you a riddle that runs across the bottom of the screen. The answer is “Chopsticks”
