Welcome to The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde walkthrough on Gamezebo. The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an Hidden Object game played on PC, created by joindots and Ocean Media, and available at BigFish Games. The Mysterious Caes of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – Game Introduction

General Information

From the Main Menu, you can:

1 Click Play to start your journey

2 Create, Rename or Delete profiles from the Player Profile menu

3 Read the progress of the story from the Story So Far…menu. Click on the arrows at the right or left to turn pages; click on the arrows at the bottom corners to move to specific chapters.

4 Adjust Sound and Music volumes, turn Custom Cursors and Full Screen on and off and view the Credits from the Options menu

5 Replay completed Minigames and Puzzles from the Puzzles menu

6 Quit the game by clicking Exit

7 When restarting the game, click Play then Yes to resume your previous game, or No to start a new game.

You get 5 Hints to use, in the form of Potion Bottles. An additional Potion Bottle will appear in the next scene unless you still have 4 or 5. In that case, you won’t see a one; you can only have 5 at a time.
Item Lists consist of 20 items in a scrolling list. As you find an item, another is added. The list is different each time and only those items that never change will be shown in this guide.
Minigames and Puzzles must either be completed or skipped (Skip button is located at the top right) once they’re begun. You can also Restart them (Restart button is located at the top left) and read the Instructions (click on the green Question Mark “?” located at the bottom left).
During dialogs, you won’t have access to any other functions. Click the red Continue button (top right) to quickly progress through all the dialogs.
Misclicks are cumulative and you lose control of your cursor for 4 seconds if you click 3 times in close succession.

Game Tips

If you’ve never read Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella, first published in 1886, I urge you to do so. It’s a classic, wonderfully written, Victorian/Gothic horror novel.
If you have read the novel, you may still enjoy it. If not, you may click as quickly as you like to progress.
Be judicious in your use of Hints. If you start a scene with 5, an extra Potion Bottle will not appear.
Some players are reporting missing images or incorrect scenes. Please contact BigFish Games if you have any issues.

Walkthrough

After watching the opening movie, the horrific story begins!

Chapter 1 – Victim #1 Sir Danvers Carew

1.1 Brewer Street

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find 5 Coins (red), the 20 items in the list, solve the Evidence Pairs Minigame and then find 5 Footprints (blue).

The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Evidence Pairs Minigame: Mouse over a blue square, click on it and then repeat for a second square. If they match, that area will remain black. If they don’t match, continue on to subsequent squares until you complete the Minigame. See the following for an example. Note: Yours will be different.

1.2 The Back Alley

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find 10 Fingerprints (red), solve the Fingerprint Minigame, find a Key (blue) and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Fingerprint Minigame: Compare each of the fingerprints with the one at the bottom of the screen. Once you’ve found it, click on it. If it’s not correct, you’ll be given another chance. See the following screenshot for an example. Note: Yours will be different from the example shown.

1.3 Opium House

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the 11 Pieces of Paper (red), solve the Letter Minigame, find the Key (blue) and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Letter Minigame: This is a jigsaw puzzle and you just need to click on each piece, move it to its correct placement and then click again. You will not need to rotate any pieces. See the following screenshot for the solution.

1.4 The Room in the Opium House

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the Mannequin Doll (red), 5 articles of Doll Clothing (blue), solve the Dress the Mannequin Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dress the Mannequin Minigame: Using the picture (yellow) as a guide, click on each article of clothing. See the following screenshot for the solution.

1.5 Dr. Jekyll’s Lab

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 6 Empty Bottles (red), 5 Potion Ingredients (blue), solve the Potion Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Potion Minigame: Read the poem (yellow) at the left for clues to solve this Minigame. Click on the Blue bottle 5 times, the Red bottle once and the Green bottle 3 times. It doesn’t matter in which order you click on them. See the following screenshot for the solution.

Chapter 2 – Victim #2 Althea Moore

2.1 River Shoreline

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 8 Footprints (red), solve the Trail Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Trail Minigame: Connect the “crosses,” following the Footprints, to find out where Mr. Hyde was going when he left the River Shoreline. Move your cursor to the next “cross” on the map and click on it. If the “cross” turns red, you can’t click on it and must choose another direction. Continue until you’ve traced a continuous line and come to the final destination. See the following screenshot for the solution.

2.2 The Docks

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 5 pieces of Chain (red), solve the Watch Chain Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Watch Chain Minigame: Click and drag each piece into the proper position. See the following screenshot for the solution, matching the pieces by color.

2.3 The Pub

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 8 Kegs of Grog (blue), solve the Equipment Pairs Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Equipment Pairs Minigame: Mouse over a blue square, click on it and then repeat for a second square. If they match, that area will remain black. If they don’t match, continue on to subsequent squares until you complete the minigame. Note: yours will be different. See the example in section 1.1 Brewer Street.

2.4 Room by the Docks

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 5 articles of Doll Clothing (red), solve the Dress the Mannequin Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dress the Mannequin Minigame 2: Using the picture (yellow) as a guide, click on each article of clothing (red). See the following screenshot for the solution.

2.5 Jekyll’s House

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Fingerprint Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Fingerprint Minigame: Click on the Fingerprint Powder (red), click and drag the cursor over the Watch Fob (blue), click on the arrows (yellow) to scroll through the Fingerprints until you find the one that matches and then click on the Check button (green).

Chapter 3 – Victim #3 Eric Snyglle

3.1 Crystal Palace Park Entrance

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 5 keys, solve the Photo Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Photo Minigame 1: Click in the center of one piece (yellow dot) then click on another to switch places. Mouse over and click on the grey arrows (red) to rotate a piece. See the following screenshot for the solution.

3.2 Park Pathway

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the 6 Pieces of Photo (blue), solve the Photo Minigame, and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Photo Minigame 2: This is a jigsaw puzzle and you just need to click on each piece, move it to its correct placement and then click again. You will not need to rotate any pieces. See the following screenshot for the solution.

3.3 Botanical Garden

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Photo Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Photo Minigame 3: This is a jigsaw puzzle and you just need to click on each piece, move it to its correct placement and then click again. You will not need to rotate any pieces. After you complete the picture, click and drag over the entire image to color it. See the following screenshot for the solution.

3.4 Dinosaur Court

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 4 Pieces of Photo (red), solve the Camera Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Camera Minigame: Click on the Triangle Mirrors (yellow) to rotate them so that the light entering the Aperture (cyan) hits the Inner Lens (green). When you believe they’re in the correct positions, click the Check (blue) button and you’ll see a picture of the villain. You may check after you rotate each Mirror to see if that one is in the correct position. See the following screenshot for the solution.

3.5 Hyde’s Lair

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 6 Bottles (blue), 5 pieces of Doll Clothing, solve the Dress the Mannequin Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dress the Mannequin Minigame: Using the picture (yellow) as a guide, click on each article of clothing (red). See the following screenshot for the solution.

Chapter 4 – On Hyde’s Trail

4.1 London Street, entrance to the Toy Store

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 8 Fingerprints (blue), solve the Differences Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Differences Minigame: Find and click on the 10 differences between the two photos. Note: you may click on either photo. See the following screenshot for the solution.

4.2 Toy Store

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 4 Ballerina Dolls (red), solve the Music Box Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green)

Music Box Minigame: Ignore the instructions for the minigame; the required objects and animations are missing (contact BigFish games regarding this issue). Click on the Disks (yellow) at the back of the Music Box to turn the Player Rollers (red) until the red dots line up and light up. When the red dots are all lit (cyan), click the Button on the front (green). See the following screenshot for the solution.

4.3 Toy Store Cellar

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Dolls Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dolls Minigame: Click on each of the Dolls and place them in the colored circles. See the following screenshot for the solution.

4.4 Sewers

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Fingerprint Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Fingerprint Minigame: Click on the Fingerprint Powder (red), click and drag the cursor over the Cane Head (blue), click on the arrows (yellow) to scroll through the Fingerprints until you find the one that matches and then click on the Check button (green).

4.5 Hyde’s Lab

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 3 pieces of Doll Clothing (red), and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dress the Mannequin Minigame: Using the picture (yellow) as a guide, click on each article of clothing (red). See the following screenshot for the solution.

Chapter 5 – Victim #4 Mrs. Peabody

5.1 – Carew Manor

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 8 Fingerprints (blue), solve the Differences Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Differences Minigame: Find and click on the 10 differences between the two photos. Note: you may click on either photo. See the following screenshot for the solution.

5.2 – Kitchen

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Utensil Pairs Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Utensil Pairs Minigame: Mouse over a blue square, click on it and then repeat for a second square. If they match, that

area will remain black. If they don’t match, continue on to subsequent squares until you complete the minigame. See the example in section 1.1 Brewer Street.

5.3 – Bathroom

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the Lady’s Handbag (blue), 4 Mirrors (red), solve the Mirrors Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Mirrors Minigame: Click on the Triangle Mirrors (yellow) to rotate them so that the light entering the Window (cyan) hits the Mirror (green) on the right wall. When you believe they’re in the correct positions, click the Check (blue) button. You may check after you rotate each Mirror to see if that one is in the correct position. 5.4 – Lucy’s Bedroom

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 12 Pieces of Paper (blue), solve the Letter Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

5.5 – Lucy’s Parlor

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 4 pieces of Doll Clothing, solve the Dress the Mannequin Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Dress the Mannequin Minigame: Using the picture (yellow) as a guide, click on each article of clothing (red). See the following screenshot for the solution.

Chapter 6 – Dr. Jekyll is Revealed

6.1 Dr. Jekyll’s Townhouse

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the Key (red), solve the Letter Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Letter Minigame: Letter Minigame. This is a jigsaw puzzle and you just need to click on each piece, move it to its correct placement and then click again. You will not need to rotate any pieces. See the following screenshot for the solution.

6.2 – Drawing Room

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the Pocket Watch (red), the Photo of Jekyll (red), solve the Comparison Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Comparison Minigame: Connect the “crosses,” to compare the photographs of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Move you cursor to the next “cross” that glows green and click on it. If the “cross” glows red, you can’t click on it and must choose another point. Continue until you’ve traced a continuous line. See the following screenshot for the solution.

6.3 – Back Yard

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, 8 Fingerprints (blue), solve the Fingerprint Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Fingerprint Minigame: Click on one of the transparencies (red) on the right, move it over the fingerprint (green) on the left and click to place it. Continue with the remaining 3 transparencies until you have it completely covered and then click the Continue button (blue). See the following screenshot for the solution.

6.4 – Dr. Jekyll’s Laboratory

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, the Diary (red), solve the Potion Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Potion Minigame: Read the poem (yellow) at the left for clues to solve this Minigame. Click on the Red bottle 3 times, the Blue bottle 2 times, the Green bottle 4 times and the Black Powder once. It doesn’t matter in which order you click on the bottles; the Black Powder won’t be available until you finish with the Potions. See the following screenshot for the solution.

6.5 – Hidden Basement

Read the Journal entry for the chapter section and then click OK (red button at the bottom center). Click the red Continue button, at the top right, to progress through the dialogs.

Find the 20 items, solve the Lock Mechanism Minigame and find the Potion Bottle (green).

Lock Mechanism Minigame: Click on each of the 4 screws (1 – green), click on the Door (2 – yellow dot), click on each of the 4 Ratchet Wheels (3 – white), click on the Ratchet Arm (4 – cyan), click on the Door (5 – red dot) and then click on the Lock Wheel (6 – magenta).

Continue through the Journal and dialogs. Congratulations! You’ve completed The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Don’t forget to watch the credits. You may now play any of the unlocked Minigames and Puzzles from the Main Menu.
