Who Is Devourer?

Devourer is the second boss you can encounter through the Void Interception menu. The boss fights in The First Descendant are some of the main attractions as these difficult, yet rewarding battles help you progress. You will need to fight and take down Devourer in order to go beyond Level 36 gear. But he is tricky!

How To Beat Him

Devourer is keen on healing, so much so that this is where most players struggle. His ability to regenerate seems to outweigh the damage inflicted to him, making him extremely difficult to beat. Here are some tricks to counter this.

• First, try and band a squad together with some friends. It’s easier to tackle bosses this way as you can disperse who is targeted for excellent coordinated attacks.
• A simple tip is making sure your DPS is higher! Something as simple as not enough DPS could be the very reason you are struggling.
• His 50% HP healing nodes are a pain, make sure you focus on taking them out asap once he drops them.
• We recommend checking what modules you have equipped as the Devourer has extreme weakness to electric modules. Plus, there is also a module that can reduce healing time. These two will be your clutch against Devourer! Don’t forget you can upgrade modules too if you need an extra edge against him. Stack your crit hits and crit him with the modules!
• This tip seems obvious, but use the landscape to your advantage! Eventually Devourer will crumble the black pillars around his spawn platform, but use them to hide and dodge him in the meantime! Negating as much damage to yourself as possible could be all the difference between a win or lose against him.
