Tasty Town is an attempt to bring all of the hit mobile strategy games together in just a single game. You’ll manage a restaurant, grow your own ingredients in a farm, and serve up tasty hamburgers and hot dogs in a van.

Chances are, you’ll recognise each single aspect from a bunch of different games so it’s immediately familiar to you. The problem is, having to do so many things at once can prove challenging so you’ll need good time management if you’re going to succeed.

Or, you could just read our tips and tricks below. We’ll try and give you some clues on how to play the game optimally so you can just sit back and watch your restaurant go from strength to strength.

Tasty Town Tips and Tricks

  • When you hire a new chef, plant some of their favourite ingredients immediately: New chefs mean new dishes being served in your restaurant. New dishes require new ingredients so as soon as you’ve hired a chef, plant some new ingredients in your field. It’s a good idea to keep a few field slots free for this in the beginning, just in case.
  • Grow a balanced number of resources: When the number of new chefs you can hire starts to slow down, we recommend focusing on growing a balanced number of resources. This isn’t just a case of having the same number of things growing at the same time though. Wheat, for example, grows really quickly while sweet potatoes take forever. As such, you can safely have less wheat fields than you do rice or sweet potato fields.
  • Play the Tasty Dash mini game whenever you can: Literally, as soon as this mini game is available you want to play it. This will absolutely power you through the game, as you earn new chefs, gold, and gems just for playing it. It’s also probably the most fun aspect of the game too, so it’s a reward in itself.
  • There’s no such thing as too many tables: You can’t have too many tables in Tase Town, so buy new ones whenever you’re able. More tables mean more customers means more money. That is the motto that you should live your Tasty Town life by.
  • More chefs means more dishes customers can order, taking the strain off your other chefs: Each time you unlock a new chef, it will start serving up new meals to your customers. That means your customers will have more choice over what they eat, meaning they won’t all order the same thing. That takes a lot of strain off your other chefs.
  • Upgrade chefs whenever you’re able: Another thing that takes the strain off chefs is upgrading them. Not only will this allow them to cook new dishes, but it will speed up the time it takes them to cook their previous dishes. It’s a win all around.
  • Grab your achievement rewards from the golden chef on the beach: Gems are a valuable commodity in Tasty Town, as they let you upgrade or purchase pretty much everything. They’re also in very short supply unless you splash your own money on the game. The best way to earn them for free is to complete achievements, which you can see a list of by visiting the golden chef on the beach.
  • When upgrading your kitchen, prioritise more pans and grills: When playing the Tasty Dash mini game, you’ll learn quickly that being able to cook multiple burgers and hot dogs is more beneficial than better quality ingredients. You want to serve up food quickly before customers walk away out of impatience.
  • Complete deliveries as soon as they become available: When you unlock delivery orders, complete them as often as possible. It might seem like a waste of ingredients, but it’s one of the few ways you can unlock items necessary for upgrading your restaurant. You’ll have to do this regularly, as you’ll run out of space for chefs, tables, and storage at your farm.
  • Please the critics: Critics will recommend stuff that you should add to your restaurant, giving you a higher star rating when you have it. Chase this stuff down as quickly as possible.
  • Watch videos to speed up chefs if you’re short on cash: Lastly, if you’re short on cash (which you pretty much will be for the entire game) you can watch video ads to speed up the cooking your chefs will do. Speed this up and you can serve more customers which means more money.
