Super Sniper is a hypercasual shooting game. It’s all about finding the most effective way of taking out a bunch of enemies. Sure, you can shoot them one by one, but you’re not going to be getting the best score if you do.
Those extra layers of challenge can make some of the levels pretty tough. Which is where this guide comes in. We’ve played a lot of the game, and we reckon we’ve discovered the very best hints, tips and tricks to help you out of sticky situations.
Have you played the game? Do you have any helpful suggestions that aren’t on this list? Then make sure you let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before we get to that though, here’s our guide to getting the perfect shot, every time, in Super Sniper.
One Shot, Many Kills
Head shots are great, but they’re not always the best way to finish a level. Treat each of the challenges the game throws at you as a puzzle. How can you kill everyone with the fewest possible shots?
Sometimes that’s going to mean using the scenery – some of the levels are a lot like view-shifted Angry Birds puzzles. Other times it’s about lining up your enemies so a single bullet passes through all of them.
The fewer bullets you use, the better your score is going to be.
Thinking Time
There’s no rush to take your shots. Scope out the level before you decide what you’re going to fire at. You’ll find things much easier if you watch the patterns of your foes and the positions of the items.
You can do this before you even zoom in. Remember that lifting your finger off the screen is going to fire your gun, so be careful not to waste a shot. If you do, your accuracy percentage is going to drop.
Use Physics
Round things roll, explosions change the structures around them, shooting out a supporting pole will make a building collapse. These are all moves you can use to destroy huge swathes of the levels, killing a bunch of foes in turn.
Often it’s pretty obvious which items you need to manipulate to successfully complete a level. If a round thing isn’t moving, then there’s a good chance a wedge is keeping it in place. Get rid of the wedge and explosions usually follow.
Watch The Shadows
Keep an eye out for the shadows of moving foes. This will show you whether they’re on the same plane as the objects above and around them. Use this to your advantage and you’ll see your success rate shooting up.
Why? Because dropping a roof onto an empty space is way less effective than dropping a roof onto the bad guys’ heads.
Triple Your Winnings
It’s always a good idea to triple up your winnings when you complete a bonus round. It’s here you’ll get most of your money, and unlike in a lot of other hypercasual games, that money is actually quite useful.
Feel free to watch videos to get some coins when they’re offered to you, but make sure you’re watching the ones at the end of bonus rounds to really increase your coffers.
Spend Your Gold
When you get the chance to spend your gold, you should. At the start of each level you’ll see a damage upgrade button in the bottom right of the screen.
When it’s coloured in, you can add more damage to your bullets. This is super useful, as the enemies get tougher the deeper into the game you get. It’ll also help you out in the boss levels.
