Not sure which powers to go for in Starfield? Our Starfield powers tier list is here to help you. In this guide, I rank all of the powers that are currently available in the game to help you decide which ones to focus on. That way, you can build your character the right way, and not worry about any endgame regrets. I’ll update this guide when anything changes, be it a new power or balancing changes. So, why not bookmark this page to always remain up to date?

Starfield is the latest open world RPG by Bethesda, and it’s the most ambitious to date. It trades the fantasy and post-apocalyptic worlds of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout for a collection of sci-fi worlds. You explore space in the near future, onboard your very own spaceship. You can fully customise your ship, tweaking its performance, appearance, and functionality. Then, you can explore worlds, battling enemies, looting gear, and working on improving your character.

You can check out Starfield on Steam. We’ve also got a Starfield weapons tier list, Starfield traits tier list, and Starfield backgrounds tier list.

What Are the Best Starfield Powers?

Now, let’s take a look at the Starfield best powers that we’ve highlighted in our tier list.

Grav Dash

On its own, Grav Dash isn’t a particularly powerful power, but it’s useful in so many circumstances that I found myself using it more often than many of the others.

The initial dash can help you get in, and out, of combat. It’s great for melee users but also really handy when you’re chasing down an opponent or trying to escape.

It also increases your damage for a brief duration, which is handy in all of the occasions when you might need it. If you’re closing the gap, you can defeat opponents quickly.

If you’re trying to escape, you can pop off a few shots and hopefully defeat your opponent. More damage is always good.

But, perhaps the best feature of this ability is how incredibly cheap it is. At a cost of only 15, you can use it over and over again.

Inner Demon

This power creates a clone of an enemy, which then turns and attacks them and those around them. Not only will this increase the damage you deal, but it will also prove a good distraction in difficult battles.

You can use it against powerful opponents to create a devastating ally, too. Very handy at all stages of the game.

Parallel Self

This is basically the reverse of Inner Demon, creating a clone of you, rather than your opponent. This is perhaps the most useful at endgame, when you have the best gear.

If you’ve reached god mode, you can clone yourself to have two overpowered fighters blasting away enemies at the same time. Who doesn’t want that?

Particle Beam

A devastating AoE attack that’s basically a delete button for enemies. It deals an intense amount of damage to all enemies that are caught in it.

The best part? It’s an incredibly cheap ability to use. That means you can just repeatedly use it whenever you have a chance to vastly increase your overall DPS.

This is another firm favourite of mine.

Solar Flare

Similar to Particle Beam, Solar Flare is another strong attack that deals damage right away to enemies. It’s not the most powerful attack in the game, but it can leave a DoT effect on enemies that will keep ticking away at their health bar.

Much like Particle Beam, it’s also pretty cheap. Not quite as cheap, but cheap enough to chuck it around at wild abandon.

Supernova

Possibly the most powerful power in Starfield, but an incredibly expensive one. You can use it against bosses to take a chunk of health off, therefore shortening the battle.

It’s probably not one to use against weaker opponents though, unless you can get them all grouped together. Once you’ve used it, you won’t have much power left.
